A Series of Fortunate Events
got there and it wasn't that busy. cool little venue. really impressed with the lighting and sound. good job guys!
slippery floor though :( i actually saw some guy come out and start mopping it therefore making it more wet and slippery. i was waiting patiently for someone to slip and fall on the floor, finally it happened, then i left. nice seeing a bunch of people i haven't seen in a long time: amanda, bevan, pbreak, myles, mercedes and so forth. hope you all had a good night. |

Got there at midnight, again with some dormmates, and the vibes were awesome- very friendly and great beats! Saw almost everyone that was out the night before too, and this time I remembered names a bit better ;) Bishop and Andrew and Jay and KenJi, fun dancin with ya, and finally got to see Chunky and Wes again yay. Mercedes & Paige and Amanda... .amanda I forgot to get your # oops. Of course, now that I think about it, I don't remember everyone, but hey it's just a learning curve :) Hope to see ya next week too.
Super steamy and wet though! Where was the ventilation? Fans?? Slippery floor. It was like one big sauna. Didn't slip but almost... |

Okay, no seriously.
First, I was sadly, sadly dissappointed in Missy_My_Setty_cuz_I_Asleepy. I think it's time to take a collection to buy this nice young lady a new alarm clock. :p Second, next party Tony does, I'm making him switch to decaf. Third, today proves that an afterparty can be just as interesting as the party. And last, look how many events were on last night. Pete Tong, Lisa Lashes, Insomnia, etc etc etc. Yet, ASFE was packed. Almost everyone had a wicked time, especially those russian guys with the glowsticks who I think took a wrong turn at New West on the way to Insomnia, and ended up with us. Tony has started to really evolve his parties into their own personal 'style', and frankly...that style is pretty wicked. AND THERE'S TASTY BEVERAGES! It's great how much of a difference that makes. HUGE ups to Pax for putting together the lights/sound/laaaasers, to Geeves for running the front door, and this time we didn't have to dispose of any corpses (kidding, guys...serious), to Lesley for her boneheaded water anointment of our fair leader at the end (hope the beer smelled good!), to Tinkerbell for being my favorite person in the world, and especially to our boy Tony. That's 3 parties under your belt...you've proven yourself. Congratulations...I'm damn honored to be your friend and to be associated with your productions. ...Except for the name of this show... I doubt nobody in the building could have pronounced the entire name of it by 5 freakin AM. Go ask Haze for some really short party names, I think he has a huge list. ;) Next stop: Mondays. :227: |

say goodbye to another fuckin hoodie.. did anybody pick up a straight up black hoodie? seriously, it's not worth keeping if you have it but I'd like it back.
edit: I just realized the irony of the party's name, just for me of course, everyone else was havin a good time... but def a serious of "UNfortunate" events for me. Last edited by pbreak; Mar 21, 05 at 03:46 PM. |

that party was wicked, everything rocked, except the smoking indoors, the place was smokeboxed, djs blew that place up, better then expected, yet two best if i had to pick were, darth vinal and bonesaw, even though mc verbal can get a bit much after a while. otherwise good light setup, not bad bar service, and the place stayed nice and chill, shouts to jeeves at the door, good job of keepin it quiet. im deffently down for the next show

If you couldn't play the set, you shouldn't have agreed to it. I guess working clubs for so many years has made it easy for me to sleep until 8pm at night and then go there (as it stands, I could have slept until 10 or so and not missed anything, but nooooo Tony said 9pm.) Anyways. I'm sure you'll make it up to him, and luckily we had Ollie "the machine" playing beforehand, so he just kept going for a bit. I didn't realize a bad freaking karma would cause you to get all pissy, Chrissy. :( |

Now correct me if I'm wrong...but isn't it worse karma to no show at a party where you appear on the flyer because you were sleeping? Who said anything about any kind of drugs? And don't you take you work seriously? I wish I could call my boss the next day and say "oh yeah, I was sleeping that is why I didn't show up for work yesterday" and then if anyone said anything to me about it "I would yell at them and tell them that I didn't want to have to take drugs". :| UM HELLO? Maybe you need drugs. Something along the lines of 'what is wrong with your head'. You didn't even say sorry or anything in this post...just that you thought sleeping was a better idea. If I was a promoter there is no way in hell I would ever book you. Missy Chrissy you have bad manners. :( Last edited by *jess*; Mar 21, 05 at 04:38 PM. |

1) I wasn't even on the flyer. 2) It was a favor for tony to fill in the last hour of the night. 3) I did drugs for 5 years, thanks. Kinda boring. Thanks Tinkerbell. Last edited by miSsy_chriSsy; Mar 21, 05 at 11:16 PM. |

I think you missed my point.
My best friend is a dj who would never miss a show and does not feel the need to do drugs to get up early. She goes to bed early, sets her alarm clock, and doesn't miss the shows she says she would play. So I know it can be done. ;) 1) I wasn't even on the flyer. Sorry I did not know. But you were on all the online promo with the time slots. 2) It was a favor for tony to fill in the last hour of the night. It is very nice that you said you would do a favor for a friend, but I still think it is in bad form that you didn't show up. 3) I did drugs for 5 years, thanks. Kinda boring. Again...who said anything about you needing to do drugs. Last edited by *jess*; Mar 22, 05 at 12:23 AM. |
