AVB at PLUSH

pretty decent set... showed up a little late(1130ish) and was a little dissapointed that I either missed yet another day and the sound of goodbye, or he just didn't play them.

He had me dancing pretty hard the first few hrs, burnt out though, it's been a loooooong week. Burned with desire and communication got me recharged at the end of the night though.

I didn't really see anyone tonight.... I lost my glasses this morning somehow on the drive home from LA, so if you see me tommorrow at fusion, and want to talk to me... come up to me because I probably won't notice you. lol.

Coming from not a huge trance guy:

First few tracks were really gettin the crowd going, then i dunno, for about an hour, hour and a half it just seemed pretty genericky to me. However his last two hours were fucking perfect. haha you just damned well knew he'd play burned with desire right at the end, and then that one track for his first encore (fuck if i know the name of it, but i recognized it as one of his bigger ones).

All in all, i'm deaf, exhausted, tired, and i have to fucking rave tonight. yay.
I barely saw anyone I knew there also.

8/10 for the night, from a non-trance guy.

:-( Yet Another Day is hands down my fav. AVB track. Everytime i found a nice semi open spot to dance someone moved in so i could obnly stand. blah. Same as at Ferry.... but atleast at ferry I was with a bunch of friends and saw alot of ppl i knew.

for the hour leading up to burned with desire... i justn leaned up against a pillar and got 'Lost in a State of Trance'

WICKED night, Out of all three times I've seen Armin, this would have been my fav.

I didn't stop moving for the full 4 hours. Good to see everyone again.

He played a great mix of Firewall - Sincere, not 100% for sure, but I think it was the Smith and Pledger 2005 mix?

One of the best nights I've had in such a long time! I can't stress how much fun I had last night. The vibe through the crowd was unbelieveable! Everyone's hands were in the air all the time, and there was room to dance no matter where you were. It's was sooo good to have the stage open like it was, it added sooooo much more dancing room!

The soundsystem was AWESOME, where did all those speakers suddenly come from??? Could hear everything perfectly!

I met some wikkid people, and the music was fan-fucking-tastic!!!
How's this for a tracklist?

M.I.K.E. - Massive Motion
M.I.K.E. vs Armin - Pound

Gabriel & Dresden - Arcadia
Nu Frequency - 808
Andy Moor - halcyon
Max Graham - gone
Enmass - Beyond Horizon
Enmass - CQ
Blank and Jones - Perfect Silence (e-craig remix)
Mojado - Senorita
Sander Van Doorn - Bling Bling
Armin - Communication Part 3
Armin - Burned with Desire (Perpetuous Dreamer remix)

Firewall - Sincere (Smith & Pledger remix)
Tiesto - Traffic (remix???)
LSG - Netherworld (Oliver Prime remix)
Hammer & Bennett - Language (Santiago Nino Dub Tech mix)
Mike Foyle vs Signalrunners - Love Theme Dusk (Mike's Broken Record mix) --- TUNE OF THE NIGHT!!!!! ---^
Fred Baker vs Keyboard Kids - All of Us (Fred Baker remix)
Liquid Overdose - Ancient Space (Fred Baker remix)
Oceanlab - Satellite (remix???)
Armin - Shivers (Alex Morph remix)

Paul Van Dyk - Crush (Paul Van Dyk remix)
Randy Katana - Fancy Fair 2005
Armin Van Buuren - Serenity (Dutch Sensation White Anthem 2005)
Purple
Haze - Adrenaline WHAT A FUCKING TRACK !!

I've seen Armin 4 times now and last night was just as good as when I saw him at the Guvernment in Toronto 4 years back. No lacklustre here. the pace was steady, mixing was flawless, the women were HOT, and, well, let's face it, it'll be one for books!

I'm going to have to agree last night was a wicked night!!!!! I had an amazing time. Armin is so into the set that everyone just goes off. Not to mention he is really nice to his fans. :)

Could have sworn that i was listening to tiestos new ISOS 4. Not that it is a bad thing, but Armin played almost every track off disk 2 that i have been listening to for about 3 weeks steady.

i also didnt like how the stage was set off-centre. if they needed more room for a massive crowd then the upper level should be opened up. as far as the crowd, i felt the same as veni about all the retards there. Every time I started to enjoy the night, my gf would come to me complaining about some asshole grabbing or making comments to her such as "i wana fuck your tight poon." Fuckin shit like that just ruins my vibeand makes me angry, and a place like plush is no place to start a fight. The bourbon would be a different story...

Was good to see alot of the regulars including tiesto messiah, rob, ELIOTT(haha) and a few others. met a lot of cool new people too. however the place was too packed. maybe we should see AVB at the commodore next time?

Great night, but it's probably the weakest set I've heard from Armin. For the first time they got him doing a 4 hour set , so it's probably why there was so much filler.

Although it's great to see him happy enough to jump up and down to select rises.

If you've ever been to Plush on a non special event night (eg Mondays with $2 highballs) The DJ is always placed in the corner so it leaves more room for people to dance on the stage

Wicked night, thought the stage setup was good, lots of room to dance. How 'bout some frikin' lasers?!?! Good music, good people good times. The digital pimp covered most of the tracks, also heard...

Motorcycle-Around You (G&D remix)
Oceanlab-Satellite(Markus Shulz coldharbour remix)

you're probably referring to the second time armin was in vancouver in august 2003, he was at the rage/cave. the first time armin was in vancouver he played twisted 2003 at the plaza

but i agree with you, that night at the rage was armin's best performance in vancouver, the worst one being last fall.

the stage set up was weird and not well though thru for a show of this caliber, but whatever, looks like twisted picked up on that and set it up well for sander kleinenberg.

here are some pictures of the night http://apri-peel.fotopages.com/?entry=444318
