I was there working at the Power Smart tent. Of the events we've been to this summer this was by far my favourite. I didn't get all that much time to see what was going on, but on my breaks I wandered around and took in some awesome food/music/performers/people watching and I would totally be there if I wasn't working.

When we first got there I thought it was going to be horrible. The event organizer didn't seem to know what was going on and we were told to "hang in there till this shit with the pigs was sorted out". I laughed it off but when your manager calls to ask why you're not set up, it's not the kind of message you want to have to relay. We ended up just winging it and everyone was cool with that. The event organizer ended up being a really nice guy, just waaay more laid back then we're used to dealing with.

We felt out of place having a corporate tent at a totally not corporate event. But since we were talking about energy saving/sustainability etc. people were super receptive. A bunch of friends came by the tent astonished because they'd only ever seen me drunk wandering round clubs/raves while here I was teaching kids how to save electricity. I have a life outside of alcohol I swear!

This is such an awesome event. I'm totally gonna go back next year if I'm not working.
