Beck @ Queen Elizabeth Theatre

got there just before 6pm to line up for the show...already a big line, but we ended up getting sweet seats just in front of the sound guy.

the opening acts were pretty cool. the first guy, McRorie, was fuckin' sweet. tap dancing drums and two keyboards across his chest making synth noises into a mic by his mouth. so hilarious. i would never be able to be that coordinated. Le Tigre was alright. i wish they had actually played more instruments rather than just pressed 'play' on their keyboard and have mostly everything pre-recorded...some good tunes though.

beck was awesome! he played lots of stuff off Odelay, which was great. talked up the audience a bit with some R. Kelly jokes before launching into Debra. i liked how he combined like four of his songs into one big song...i think it started with Hollywood Freaks. glad he played Sexx Laws which is my favourite song of his. it was also great that he played Everybody's Gotta Learn Sometimes off the Eternal Sunshine soundtrack.

the table music was fuckin' sweet. most creative thing i have seen at a concert. also beck playing that accordian box was cool, too.

all in all, second best concert i've seen (first place goes to Radiohead).

will post pics later.
