The part that always bugs me is when Kraig states that they kept it till the "last second" just to see if they MIGHT be able to open the doors. i think people should realize, that the team (unlike Money) are offering refunds to those that didnt get to see Stereo 8, etc, in room #2!
lucky that you get your money back, and didnt actually blow it on air (like most of us did for money's party)

so that just shows enough of how proffessional these promoters are handling this situation!

they've been dealing this business as long as i remmeber me being in this scene!

how can you call somebody unprofessional, especially AFTER they stated that the full refunds will be given to those that would like to recieve them?

I have been a great fan of Twisted crew and shows for a number of years now. I really think that they play a big part in keeping vanCity's scene alive. and they usually do it proper.

criticizing ain't bitchin'! If they expect people to be "loyal" and attend their shows, then they should understand that it's a 2-way street. They have been generally really good with that (which is imo why they are the longest lastin' promoters)... but these little things can get irritating.

First off Kamal... chill bro. You have your reasons for being upset at peeps, but responding in that fashion just isn't a good idea although you may very well have a legitimate reason to be pissed at someone. -- Keep in mind that international DJ's and agents look at FnK and how promoters act/behave in a scene.

~god~ -- dude... do you have any idea what you're talking about? Clearly not. I can state NUMEROUS shows (Heat being one of them) where I am not shitting you, in 2 days, we sold 300+ tickets. With the weather being so nice and nothing else going on this past weekend, why wouldn't we wait to the very last minute in the chance that may happen as it has many times before to have 2 rooms rather than just 1?!

I wasn't bullshitting, it was the truth. If anything, Azim always bitches at me at the amount of info I want to share up front with you peeps because as most of you know, I tell it like it is.

We waited until Friday to completely cancel the 2nd room... Harp and I personally called the DJ's Friday night to tell them. I cancelled Stereo 8 directly and we paid a certain fee to be able to do that.

Flat out, it was a business decision to cut the cost of the 2nd room.

Please do not accuse me of making up BS if you don't have all the facts.

do you really think promoters who plan to be around for awhile are going to enjoy pissing off their customers? the most important thing is making sure people want to come back again and again.

but also to make money on the parties (obviously). people will come to the parties regardless as long as there is talent. We have had enough issues with pretty much every promoter in this city to drive us into the "no support" zone. but fuck that!

So for the most part, if you guys all believe that leaving all this confusion to the last second is all in good intentions, then maybe I'm arguing in the wrong crowd. This whole bs about 'hoping to have 300+ tickets sold at the doors' is stupid imo. If they're down in figures like that, they could atleast give people some heads up prior to the gig. noone would hate them for that, would they?

I am not upset at peeps first off bro, it's just this one specific person I am pissed off at due to some issues from this past year. Yes I shouldn't have made that comment but it wasn't directed to every single person on this thread. We took a risk cause we couldn't get the venue on another date so we took it looked like it was gonna turn out bad when we had to cut the second room but with the amount of door sales we did that night and consession we did ok to tell you the truth :D. If anyone here feels offended by my post earlier on please tell me and I will honestly say I am sorry for offending you. This issue with this one person is laid to rest and I am gone out this thread unless I am forced to make another comment but until then so long and see you all in the other threads :D

Trust me man... I wish Vancouver peeps bought tickets early, but they rarely do! Well... for raves that is. It seems everyone waits to the last minute until they find out what the majority or masses is doing and then decide to go at the very last minute. Feel free to phone any ticket location and ask them how many tickets on average they sell the couple of days leading up to a show. Virtually 90% of all parties do a majority of their sales that last week.

Anyway... enough with the issue... it seems it was a smart business decision to close the second room. Hopefully things will work out and the show breaks even!

First off I'd like to say thank you to all that supported us. It was a difficult decission to make but at the end I know you all would do the same. As for refunds for the people who wanted to see Stereo 8 will get a refund as we have promissed. Just sucks that this had to happen but at the end you gotta do what u gotta do and thank you to those who do understand.

And towards Kamal being all upset u guys gotta understand that We have worked very hard on this show but this negetivity should not be posted on the net so i would like to appologize. Working from 5 am to 2 pm and then going to downtown to promote and coming back home at 9 even 11 at night then doing the same thing the next day for a month straight. It just hurts to see that all that hard work was not worth it. But to all that have supported us on this show we do thank you. So hope you all do understand.

But hey anyone that was there had the time of their lives. All i gotta say is that you guys missed out on one of the best riverside shows. All the dj's played very well and we do thank you all for that.
