this night was killer. i had a great time. huge this year, i loved it. plenty of stages / varariaty i found, kept me intertained.
Apex lived up to its name again this year!! met alot of wicked people, learned some new things, and had a sht load of fun. it was awsome to meet a couple new FNKers, wanted to for a while. the line was long, but the wait was worth it. i had a great time, i can even stomach the fact that they raised the price at the door to 30!!! should be alittle better prepaired in regards to the line at the gate. though everything seemed to up to par beyond that. Want to mention the MP stage (missy), that DnB stage in the back, the Fee Fresh(i think), ((and that stage with the dipped dance floor, speakers at the middle back, located neer the out houses)) ||many others deserve recognition too|| **obvousaly i didnt have a flyer :( i actualy knew only a few the DJs who where playing by name :P Last edited by Draven GD; Jul 31, 05 at 03:08 PM. |

heck yes.. good times really really drunk.. Silverwing, you rock my socks.. seriously.. Rocking the 3-6-ohhhhh, so many people I havn't seen in so long.. Charlie toonah and previously named DJ Ninewells were scrumtralecent.. really blurry for the rest.. I think someone snuck some drugs in because I am almost positive one or two people were high (can you say that on the internet? high?) good hustle people and the Pirate ship was the Balls!!!!

team gangbang was in effect. i came up early, set up, and then danced until the sun came up. not so pleased that alot of my stuff got taken, but i cant understand why people would leave my cell, my ipod AND my wallet (comeplete with cash) sitting 2 feet away... and take pop from my cooler?!?!? ah ravers. notable mention goes to gusty (thanks for standing beside me and patting my back, during a not so great moment) chet (dang. just... dang) c-squared (thanks for makin my night better) ang (that blanket saved my life) nuff ($90 worth of booze. GONE.) AND last but not least: To the person to fuckin stole so much shit from me, from my tent and from everyone around the stage; karma is a bitch and i hope you get what you deserve. edit: more noteable facts about the evening: my flashlight is MIA, i made the mistake of peeing in stinging nettles, bug spray DEFINATELY didnt help and the bastard bugs bit through my clothing! i just woke up... fuck my ears are still RINGING... boodangs stage was POUNDING!!!.... and my legs killllllll so bad.... i've honestly never danced that much b4... id say i danced for like 4 hours STRAIGHT... ahh apex was fuckin dope!

shiet..... that was suchan awesome night! i didnt stop dancing from the time we got there till the time we left.. the only complaint i had was the damn line up! that was bs! but sall good the party was worth every minute of lining up in my mind! watta roadtrip hahahha... definately going in my good books for sure!

APEX WAS AWESOME!!! Thanks Avana & Salim for keeping Apex alive.
First off, I was drunk and kept asking Salim to let me out of the party to put my records away.. and he flipped at me. Sorry Salim. The crowd at the door after my set was NUTS! multiple entrances are definately needed next year. Also, stages should have limits as to how loud they can go.. The Ree-Fresh stage destroyed the LCU stage. As for the people being bunk? no no, this was the best crowd ambience apex has EVER had. EVER. The production quality of all of the stages was much better than last year. the Boodang stage was AWESOME! It's not often that breaks and jungle dj's get to rock it on big systems like that. Thanks for the experience Boodang (and the beer, it made the set 100X more enjoyable). Thanks to all my friends who came to support, and all the strangers (including the light guy) who danced and danced and danced. seriously. what a fun night. Thanks Sharon for the vodka. thanks to all the random people who blazed me up through the night. Zeemer, it was good seeing you for the brief moment that i did. Tilley, Boudreau, Mark, Ray, Phil, Drae, Winmark, Ro, Christine, and all of you.. I fucking Love you guys! You all made my set soo much god damned fun. I can't wait to spin again! |

This has to be one of the best parties that ive attened (well I think personally)
Ive never seen Apex soo packed. (I may be mistaken, but to what ive experienced...it was a busy night) The Swiftbeats stage impressed me, allot of originality and thought put into it. All the stages this year went all out, man...all those scaff towers reminded me of forts... Dj Dean just absolutely made my night...let alone one of the best sets ive heard in Van. Hella nice guy too. After working out some problems with the Evolve stage (Speakers soooooo loud that they shifted around almost falling off the towers...EVEN WHEN THEY WERE STRAPPED AND DUCT TAPED DOWN, visual problems, etc etc) the night went smoothly. Thanks to all who were there at my set, i most definetaly had fun, saw some people flail that i would NEVER see flail. hahaha my highlight is Rhia's "Call me when your legal!" comment lol i havnt slept much, i think ill write more... |
