well its a really close finish between about 5 differnt stages. so much good music.
*Thanks again to all the DJs and crew that put this on!* I think over all id say, with difficultly, i liked the Swiftbeats stage in the back before all others. tons of fun and lively songs kept everyone lighthearted and laughing!! loved the dancing back there, great atmosphere, tons of fun back there. who ever the guys at the back where passing the ball around, and the 3-4 guys from earlyer in the night up on stage, you guys were awsome, alot of fun to see. :) the stage could have been embelished more, but the simple white became the trade mark. loved the dancefloor. surprized other stages havent picked this idea up. well a few little pads here and there, but with that grass the floors were very welcome. this stage was packed most of the night though! the stage with the 2 records on the front?. loved this stage, a few times throughout the night there were sounds coming from here that i couldnt resist. who ever the cute DJ was that played some live tunes and knew how to dance, she put on a killer set. i liked the speaker placement here actualy. Missy Chrissy, well i missed most of her set unfortanitly, but something important came along. love what she put together here though. sharp new sounds from a female perspective. i hope this becomes and Apex tradition. i liked the fact that some of the girls recived due admiration for the sounds they played when unfortanitly they may have been more overlooked without this stage. exspected a little more enthusiasim and energy in this croud though, more people soaking in the beats then moving to them. many other great sets and songs, i wish i had one of those maps (can you bring yours over spence i want to look at it again, please :) things are getting a little crouded this year, the Van as a wall i have to admit was creative, but only worked to a degree. there was the one stage way down a path rapped round back into the bushes that i didnt find intill neer the end of the night. unfortanite since it seemed to have a really distinctive sound out there. its unfortanite that the welcoming stage across from the gate had technical problems, on the way in and early on that night i was really enjoying that stage, small as it was. one last mention, to the main stage there with the plastic wrapped towers and the stage dancers up on the scaffold or whatever. we had our tent facing there. i prefure smaller not overly packed stages generaly so i didnt spend as much time here as was deserved. great energy though, really kept the floor moving. couple songs throught the line up i came running for. <fav song of the night> dont worry be happy - what a brilliant song, who mixed that? used to be my fav song as a kid. just beemed with excitement when that played. |

Best Jungle/ DnB stage: Silverwaters/Blackcrack..... Sickest lineup. A little but nice sized bumpin stage with the dj booth level right in front of you....
Best breaks stage: Mnemonic.... Awesome vibe... That was the first stage when I got in that was pounding out some awesome breaks. Best creative stage: Choice..... Transforming there stage into a nice huge boat.... The mass as being the screen playing the muppets with a nice laser in the back all while house music was being played. Absolutely brilliant.... I don't think einstein would ever think of this at all... Best hot womenz stage: Missy Productions...... DDDDDDDDDDDDDAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYMMMMMMMMMMM MMMMMMMMM...... Watching female dj's spin jungle/dnb = hot Best of show over all: Boodang...... Do I even need to explain why??? ------------------------------------------------------------------------ ======================================== ================ Most unexpected stage this year: Hardcore Renegade stage..... A tiny tiny stage only to hopfully grow bigger next Apex and other Apex's to come. Mad technical difficulties.... Doom worked his ass off trying to get the subwoofer going and making sure everything else was going as planned. I think even during his set he was going around the stage making adjustments. Was looking for amber to talk to her about the stage but didn't notice her until the morning and she was also busy as well.... |

Wow a lot of people liked the boodang/evolve...personaly I hate trance (and stupid lazers)...so the swifbeats stage and the fnk/swingkids stage was where it was @ most of the night. I likedhow the Swiftbeats stage was hidden and off to the back, and the fnk/swingkids stage played some damn good music ALL night...

At the very beginning of the night I took a walk around and looked at all the stages and must say all stages looked awsome.......each stage had alittle something different to offer.......though I didn't get around to dancing alot at each stage I spent my time stage hopping abit between Missy Chrissy, Ree-Fresh, Triple A, Choice and Evolve.....all were awsome stages.......our tents were right across from Triple A and I loved being able to sit in the tent and listen to all those great remixes......the only problem was that the stage was almost too good and there were times when it was soo packed you couldn't find room to dance......though I must say that the Ree-Fresh stage was my favorite and I spent mopst of my time there.......the house music was pumpin all night and Rhia's really long set was awsome....sucks you kept having to answer your phone though
