mmmmm, beer and techno.
Went last year, not my cup of tea, didnt really like the minimal techno. This year though, 2 acid techno producers GI jody and Mux both who are fantasmic.. I will be going, plus david always smilies me to death on msn :) |

Actually, I think GI Jody is producing acid breaks these days... should be interesting.
PPCock, I think you'll be blown away by the Frazzletones. Rich and Little Jon, 2xTB303, FR-777, TR-909, Akai S3000, a tonne of compressors, and a bad attitude. RIGHT up your alley. Proper acid techno. |

Do you guys have advance tix? Should probably consider them, two years ago sold out by 10:30pm, last year sold out by 9:30pm, just after the doors opened!
There's about 90 tix left, last I heard, but they've been on sale all day yesterday and today. |

As of 3:30 pm we still have 79/350 tickets left.
The planetarium box office is open till 5:00pm and will re-open at 8:00pm or 9:00pm I would recommend all of you to get there as early as you can, although we will keep a small number of door tickets on hand, the earlier you get there the better =) If you still havn't got your ticket by 11:00-12:00 you may be in trouble although it all depends on the door turn-out.. Call 778-883-1727 if you have questions. SEE YOU ALL THERE! |

aside from all the amazing music, there are some very talented artists putting up displays.
Artists include: Shell Arkell Erin Caton Bryan Bone (myself) Doktor J I've seen Erin Caton's digital media prints and they are stunning. I've heard some of the others are setting up some wicked black light illuminated pieces as well. I'm putting up a bunch of colour poster print photographs i've made during my 10 years doccumenting Vancouvers rave/afterhours scene. Also i will be displaying reproductions from my journals which include photos, flyers, drawings, paintings, etc which doccument the scene (some may recall a similar display in 2001 at the Emily Carr gallery). For those nostalgic for the "early days" or those curious how the scene evolved- check it out and let me know what you think. www.listeningroom.ca |
