The listening room
It looked and sounded incredible inside the space center. Special thanks to Bryan (silverfish) for his rave history collection, it really brought back some good memories.
Another wicked aspect was the bar. I'm always down for something new and drinking in the space center was deffinetly an enjoyable first. Lasers, Lights and Sounds OH MY!!! |

i had waaaaay more stuff to put up but not enough room and the lighting was a major fucking headache. i thought the show was fantastic.... every year it just seems to mature and evolve in such a positive way. kudos to all the various artists, the hard working face painter (cripes, i forgot your name!), projectionists and all the volunteers who don't get the same recognition as the all-star performers =) and the performers..... whoa!!! i love these guys so it goes without saying that i was blown away with their sets- but i think the real test was the looks on peoples faces. people really seemed impressed and highly entertained. what a great night, and it was fantastic to see so many old friends too =) |

Music was awesome whichever room I happened to be in. People were freaky and fun. Kicking myself for not bringing my camera. Also kicking myself for not bringing my Boba Fett pez dispenser... Totally stoked on the Star Wars costumes, and pretty much everything else about this party.

This was definitely the BEST LR, so far!
Awesome music! Trippin' visuals! Wicked crowd! An all-round great evening! I nearly SHIT myself when all the Star Wars people came troopin' out of the lift during set up! The Darth Vader and Boba dudes were startlingly impressive!!! BIG UP to all who contributed! And best regards to Drew and Erin! Who'da thunk?.... Frosty (OH! The bassbins!!!) |

Man, that listening room was the best ever, jon and rich's dual 303 action was spectacular. Seeing dear, dear old friends was just amazing. And mux.. Holy fuck mux, that was probably the best acid set i've ever heard in my life.. WAY TO RIP OFF ONE NIGHT HACKNEY :P That was awesome mux, congrats on getting married. If you need a trance dj for the ceremony or the honeymoon, let me know :P I cant wait to see what mux and david have planned for next year. Along with the great music.. awesome people dan, angus, dave grapes, stevie gnosis, kent, dale, my old buddy warren, mux, jodie, jon, jeff, akeel "so how was your set akeel?" "perfect like always", and that mother fucker ebbodave. oh and when the second monitor overheated during mux's set, watching jon blow and wave a pillow behind it... priceless. Every year this event grows a bit and gets a bit better.. I'm already looking forward to the next one and i'm already trying to figure out how to top the kickass Starwars theme... Our goal is to keep this one of a kind show going strong for many years to come! Next year, bring your friends! -David |

ppcock - we forgot our monitor-fans.... :(
AND.... somehow rich's laptop, with all our half-bar loops, got unplugged sometime between soundcheck and set time, so we pretty much had to ad-lib the entire set, with ONLY the 909 & 303's.... with what we were forced to make do with, it sounded alright, i guess.... meeting eddie santini was pretty cool! wicked guy - we're looking to put vancity on the acid techno map, y0! (he used to live and work at curve pusher.... he's got teh hook-ups!) and what can be said about one night in east van?? hehehe i smell an SUF remix in the works... shhhhhhh..... lj |
