Just in case someone cares or takes the time to read this...
Got there around 11:30pm and was relieved that there was no lineup! The security checks were quick and unlike many other raves they let us bring in our own water! The girl's washroom downstairs was a complete different story -- LINEUPS! Main Room: awesome light show (one of the best I've seen)! Love all the sitting space in the bleechers! It was soooooo much fun sitting up there and watching the crowd! What was up with all those clusters of garbage bags in the middle of the dance floor????? Who put them there? What a safety hazard! It was crowded though but I liked the vibe -- something about dancing freely with other people who just didn't care either! The costumes were really fun to look at. And I agree -- since when was lingerie a "costume"?!?! I dressed up as a "Candy Fairy" (pink booty shorts, wings and all). I liked the music but I've heard better -- many DJ's that I wanted to see were playing at Freak Night unfortunately! Still it was a GREAT, MEMORABLE Halloween!!!! |

problem is from solid's perspective...why spend more money on decorations when they'll sell out regardless? As a business, they do maximize profit as much as possible. Yea, say you hate it, but to them this is a business they're not really in it for the party loving people :) Go to the parties if you want, and if you don't, stay home it's that simple.

Camera Guy (he posted a few replies above) He rarely posts on here. He films at almost every party. NO, you will not get to see the video footage, so don't ask :p |

GOod times
Well another good party, though, I felt Dooms Night 04 was better. I was impressed to see buddy from Rank 1 keep the rhythm going after Anne Savage dropped her set. I thought he was gonna lose it for a sec, but it was good, kept me going good!
The only beef I have is with the idiots sitting on the floor near the front of the main stage, along with all the garbage bags laying around. I don't know how many times either myself or someone next to me, trying to enjoy ourselves and dance, but happen to trip or stumble over these goofs sitting there, because they're too f'ing lazy to get their ass up into the stands. Where was security, sleeping, or knocked up on some drugs too? I would love to see someone bail over these retards and get hurt one time, then finally something will be done. Otherwise, all the dj's ripped it up, CRAZE, SAVAGE, RANK 1, too many to name, all well represented! |

well seeings how i'm the focus of conversation, i will tell you guys what i do with the videos.
a long time ago i used to shoot shows for free. then i started to make money shooting and producing videos for promoters. I did fairly well as there were massives 2x per month. it supplemented my income. then another group came along and gave the promoters the same product for free, devaluing the work we both did. Some promoters stayed loyal to me. Some took the free road. Now i shoot shows for enjoyment, the music, the people. I get asked all the time "where does the footage go?" well.... i make a copy of the party and give it to the promoter. I usually give 15-30 hrs and $30-$40 in materials (not including transportation expenses) to project that pays me nothing. Some promoters never even look at the dvd or tapes. They never put them up in their own sites. now as for posting them on the net, or here on FnK, that pretty much wont be happening because- I work 50-60 hrs a week. have other things to do. it takes a few hours to upload the footage to my PC, 5-10 hrs to edit a decent video, compress it, upload it onto a server where 20 ppl are going to look at. Classic example was from the NYE show earlier this year. There were probably over 100 FnKers there and only 23 downloads. now isn't that great. All that work for nothing really. Can you see where i am going with this? now some other business. Quote:

If people dont want to be filmed they either turn around, or walk away. simple. 9/10 they ask me what i'm filming for and then end up in front of the camera. that sums it up from me. any other questions or problems? |

If we're lucky, he will be at FREEZE on December 9th to capture all the dancing, DJs, lasershows, and more that the party will offer. We will not just throw the footage into a drawer and forget it about it, it will be edited in post production, and a web ready version released through our website a few weeks after the show for everyone to see. |
