The Red Room is full of sketchy people, no matter what drug they do. I go to many different club nights and while the music at the Red Room is dope, the crowd basically creeps me the eff out. More then the hiphop nights at Sonar ever did.

I put the Red Room slightly behind Lotus on the sketchycase factor, but then it's always going to be a personal opinion. I have tons of friends who are at Believe every weekend some who do and some who dont do drugs. Even with this I have yet to enjoy myself there.

I figured he was implying that it was a more mature crowd.

As any of my friends who attend Believe maybe 5% would ever be caught dead at a rave.

haha, but it is different from other clubs. the music, the way people dance, the drugs, it's an all house rave without candy kids. compare a night at the red room to basically any other club here. it's like a rave for older people, i can't understand how you don't see that.

Well of corse its diffrent than other clubs... thats what makes it so unique. The music they play there is heard all over the world IN CLUBS. The way ppl dance??? I dont see at all unless your picking out the few break dancers taht show up and the water bottle guy who ive seen there once ever.
Personaly from the experince I got clubbing in other coutrys... I think I get the best feel of them form the red room and one offs than any other night. The club scene around the world is full of ppl doing drugs, gogo dancing, house music and letting loose.

then why is it that you're the only one that doesn't seem to see the similiarities? anyway, it was never said in a bad context. i'm sure if i went to those other clubs in other countries you're talking about, i'd notice they were more rave-like than most clubs here too. the red room is more similiar to a rave than any other club i've been to in vancouver, and that isn't necessarily a bad thing. you're the one that decided it was and got offended.:)

Its not so much that im taking offence as im bothered by what seemsto be a very general vage comment. No one has defined a deffinition of rave yet... and untill they do im curiouse to know what makes the red room so much more like a rave then being just a unique club night?
