Twisted presents NYE 2006 - Dec. 31st @ MLC
Twisted Productions is proud to present...
NEW YEAR’S EVE 2006! -- A lot of you saw what we did for Simple VIII, well that was only a taste of what we have in store for this show! WHEN: Saturday, December 31st 2005 – from 9PM until 7AM WHERE: Maritime Labour Centre -- 1880 Triumph Street in Vancouver MAIN ROOM: ALPHAZONE, GERMANY – www.skywarp.de In 2001 the German duo Alphazone burst onto the scene with their well-known remix of “DJ Kim – Jetlag”, marking the birth of a genre - Alphazone’s blinding hi-NRG trademark sound. The inventors of “Hi-NRG trance” (iDJ magazine) have found their own fresh way to captivate the crowds which is nowadays has been copied by countless other hard Trance and hard dance producers. 2005 has already been a huge and busy year for Alphazone: They launched two new labels (Skywarp Platinum and TranceTribe) and have been on multiple DJ tours that have taken them around the world. We had them here in October and they captured Vancouver with that signature Alphazone sound, so would couldn’t help but have them back to drop a 3 hour set to bring in the new year proper! With locals: Azim & Tazix Danny Taylor Jimmy Chou Ben Giovanni Mark Lai SECOND ROOM: CZECH – www.djczech.com Do I really need to write anything here? For over the past decade, Czech’s name has become synonymous with the funky, party-rockin Breakbeat and Electro sound we all love here in Vancouver. He’s a true headliner in his own right having played in some of the biggest clubs and largest festivals around the world including Fabric in London. He’s opened for everyone imaginable including The Prodigy, Chemical Brothers, Orbital, Crystal Method, Rabbit in the Moon, Krafty Kuts and The Freestylers just to name a few. So… what better way to bring in 2006, than to turn the decks over to a guy that can do it in only his own way! DAVE ARMSTRONG – www.davearmstrong.ca / www.dammtracks.com Dave has taken the last several months off to focus on his new label and new productions. Frankly it’s been too long since we’ve heard this world-renowned House music Producer play at an event here in Vancouver. He’s had releases on some of the biggest House labels including Eyezcream Records, Antoine Clamaran's French label "Fine Tune", Steve Angello's Swedish label, "Size Records", Olav Basoski's "Rootz Records", Italy's "Oxyd Recordings" and now alongside DLG and Redroche their brand new label DAMMTracks. Let’s welcome Dave back to the decks as he drops a set of his funky, bangin House that he’s known for! With locals: Soma Cinto vs. Major Josh - SPEED GARAGE SET! Hirshee vs. Charlie Tuna Jeff Daniels Johnny Ill TICKET PRICES: $50 for the first 100 $60 for the next 200 $65 thereafter More at the door TICKET LOCATIONS: www.clubzone.com/twisted - Boomtown on Burrard and Davie - Laramy at Metrotown Centre Last edited by Kraig; Dec 13, 05 at 12:13 PM. |

Czech IS a headliner... as is Dave Armstrong for that matter. The additional reality is that if I booked an out of town headliner for the second room, that drives ticket prices up further. New Years shows are already not cheap to do (labour, security, police, fire x 2 as New Years is a stat). I look forward to not seeing you there. |

Say forever, and forever we will always be...
to be together, I know we're right for all eternity... We can't deny it, this thing is bigger than the both of us... all consuming can't you see? So let's not fight it, racing our expanding universe, where we will alwaays be!!!!!!!!! Kraig, if you can get Alphazone to play Immortal, I will come! lol. I nearly cried last halloween whent hey didn't play it! |

Look at your line up... No jungle.
It's lame. Czech is a local. I've seen him play at least 100 times. I'm so sick of seeing the breaks/Jungle room suck. Whatever happened to the twisted junglist crew? By the way, the venue you continue to use is crap. I plan on being at something good on new years. I look forward to not seeing you there. Last edited by dalailama; Nov 30, 05 at 01:46 PM. |

We just had a show last Saturday in which I booked Dabbler vs. Soda w/MysterE. I decided this time around to put 2 headliners in the second room one focused on Breaks, the other on House. I can't please everyone and the reality is, the DnB/Junglist peeps will no doubt have a DnB-dedicated show for cheap somewhere else... like they always do. "By the way, the venue you continue to use is crap" -- Hahaha... thanks for stating the already obvious dumb ass. Excuse me while I pull an awesome 3 ROOM and legal venue out of my ass like we had at the Plaza of Nations. The reality is dude, you have to use the cards that are dealt to you. You can thank the City of Vancouver for the awesome selection of legal venues we have to chose from... don't blame us. "I plan on being at something good on new years." -- Have fun at your something good then! |

If you don't like it throw your own party... it's that simple... If you don't like the venue, find another legal venue that the city will accept, and let all the legit promoters use it, we'll be happy to. Last edited by Evolve; Nov 30, 05 at 03:59 PM. |

We are going to be doing some cool things that Winston or I will announce over the next couple of days. *Hypnotic -- no need to apologize... trust me, personally the last place I want to be spending my new years is a rave! ;) |

I have heard some talk of the mangladesh crew possibly putting together something for NYE this year again, you'll have all the jungle you want, all night! There are TONS of events in this city that cater only to jungle/dnb/broken beat that are smaller, more intimate gatherings and most heads actually prefer those over the same old. Maybe you should meditate and lighten up :317: Needless to say, despite all the complaints this party will sell out, it sells out even at much larger venues on NYE. I think this year throughout the city there's going to be a little something for everyone, kind of prefer that over one gross massive. Good luck Twisted :) |

i hope i can be at this party..not to sure whats goin on yet. One thing i hate about new years..is theres to many to pick from. i miss plaza! i remember new years at palaza.everyone went all happy..no fighting about solid sux..no twisted sux! I want more jungle no more this that fuck! all that anoying bullshit lol |
