I'm very delighted to be attending this event. I saw Hype a few years back in DC and he didn't dissapoint. The man can scratch!!! This will also be my first trip up to Canada which i'm also excited about.

I just had a couple questions regarding this event:

Should I go ahead and buy tickets in advance or will I definitely be able to get in the day of? If I have to purchase in advance can I get them online?

Also are there any decent hotels in the vicinity of Plush?

i would suggest buying tickets before-hand. not too sure if they're available online. i'd send a private message to peanut or average citizen and ask them about that(if you click on there name you can select private message from the list)
as for hotels you're right downtown vancouver. i'd suggest the holiday inn on howe, affordable but nice and maybe a $5 cab ride away. that's probably you're best bet. close without being sketchy or too expensive. here's a link to where you can reserve a room. http://travel.yahoo.com/p-hotel-3466...hotel_suites-i

Sup Shayna, I'm Luis. I'm actually visiting a friend that lives in Seattle from the 15-19th. It will be my 3rd trip to out there so this time i wanted to do something a lil different. We had already planned on taking a train up to Vancouver for a day since i've never been but my friend heard about the Hype show so we decided to check it out and stay the night. I've been a dnb fiend since '95 so I'm trying to drag my boy out to as many shows as possible while i'm out there ;) We're also gonna check out Krinjah the next night back in Seattle. I never realized how close the two cities were.

Any good clothing stores/record shops you can recommend?

krinjah?? sick! ya you'll love it up here! boomtown and beatstreet are great for records. there's also 'vinyl' which has used stuff.......its pretty dope. as for clothing i'd check out 'complex' on abbott.......tons of wicked shit there as well as DIPT(all urban/hiphop stuff)! and 'livestock' has the BEST shoes in town. mad, mad, style! also tons of commercial shops on robson street(straight up shopping strip...hahaha)!
