some thoughts about Hype...
What it do - yo when I heard Hype was gunna be on the wheels of steel I didnt know y'all was talkin about a wheelchair! Dude is too old! He was playing songs so cute I could fall in love to them. No scratching, no raggae samples, no amens, no balls. If your not gunna play tear out scary songs then get a sex-change and play house. Peep it - the way me and my crew get down, yo, he was straight up vagina. He spread his legs, flicked his bean and rubbed his nipples. Pack the clown-step in a clown-car and drive that off a cliff. Thats how I roll - PEAS!

that club... whoa :(
YO! Also about that club... besides there being some fly ass ho's up in there - there was too much cock and balls. The way I get mine, dig, I throw a party with like three, four REAL drum and bass DJ's and any dudes show up at they door I say unless your bringing a 5 to 1 bitch to dude ratio, yo, you better step quick like. I love them ho's. I think I saw a dude munchin' Hype's box while he played trance up there. We get down with ho's ONLY!! PEAS!

woohoo sounds like we got another "straight up wiggar" on fnk.
Hey man before bashing Hype find who you are sounds to me like you are still deciding on basics ... like color and race . "We get down with ho's ONLY!! PEAS!" LoL I bet you do... Hype was amazing at some point the dude actually dropped a record only for a basseline let it play for a bit and switched both records. dont really hear many Djs pull that shit off. Uhm anyways glowstick, although the show wasn't great, what your doing right here is completly disrespecting one of the most well known legendary pioneers of the sound you and your 'dawgs' 'get down' too. If it wasn't for this guy drum n bass would be no-where close to where it is today.. So, 'peep it'.. next time you want to 'get down' and grind with 'fly ass hos' you'd 'better step quick like' to a top40 club. Dig? Last edited by firestar; Feb 24, 06 at 03:03 PM. |

Oh well , the gf got my ticket signed by both hype and daddy freddy (although he was totally pissed off after the show), and we got drunk and had fun, so it was an all good night in my books.
I think it was more for the experience of witnessing hype himself than what music he spun.. for me anyways.. |

I concur 100%. At least switch it up a lil bit, throw in an amen here and there. For being a pioneer of the dnb scene, I was highly dissapointed to hear him drop only one portion of the dnb spectrum. His selection wasn't upfront either, the newest tune I heard him play was the Voodoo people remix which is old news. He needs to link up with some other cats in the UK so he can have a newer/broader selection. I'd have to say that the girl that played b4 him (Ill-esha?) did a much better job, kept the beats locked airtight (u should've headlined ;) ). Gotta give her props for droppin the One-Ton remix, haven't heard that on a big rig in a while. Big-ups to the two djs that preceded Hype also. Btw, I didn't hear Hype scratch once, isn't that what he's known for? I left after the first hour so maybe he did get busy in my absence. I still had fun tho, nice venue, lots of ladies. Thanks again to Peanut for hooking up the tix at presale price :) Hopefully I can make it out to Vancouver sometime in the future. Trixx, thanks for recommending "Vinyl". I found some classic gems in their used section ;) L |
