YO! Also about that club... besides there being some fly ass ho's up in there - there was too much cock and balls. The way I get mine, dig, I throw a party with like three, four REAL drum and bass DJ's and any dudes show up at they door I say unless your bringing a 5 to 1 bitch to dude ratio, yo, you better step quick like. Hype was amazing at some point the dude actually dropped a record only for a basseline let it play for a bit and switched both records. dont really hear many Djs pull that shit off.

I dunno man hype wasnt the best dj i'v ever seen thats true, but his track selection and mixing style was just blowing my mind. Everything was so flawless and he kept the flow going, the bass line never really stopped and thats what good DJ is all about on my opinion. Besides he had tracks that werent playd out and a lot of VIP's. bs aside i'd give him 8.5/10 minding it was a Thursday night.

^ yea, i hated his track selection - there was *mabye* 4 tunes in the hour and a half of him spinning that I actually liked. The rest was all the recycled clownstep anthemic UK banger stuff that I stopped liking 2 years ago...

Uhm anyways glowstick, although the show wasn't great, what your doing right here is completly disrespecting one of the most well known legendary pioneers of the sound you and your 'dawgs' 'get down' too. If it wasn't for this guy drum n bass would be no-where close to where it is today..

meh......thats easy for him though......compared to what hes capable of he bit it big time!

and i don't give a fuck about the turnout........those people that were there paid to see him.....he can suck it up.......he looked like a big baby pouting up there.

Oh well , the gf got my ticket signed by both hype and daddy freddy (although he was totally pissed off after the show), and we got drunk and had fun, so it was an all good night in my books.

I think it was more for the experience of witnessing hype himself than what music he spun.. for me anyways..

I concur 100%. At least switch it up a lil bit, throw in an amen here and there. For being a pioneer of the dnb scene, I was highly dissapointed to hear him drop only one portion of the dnb spectrum. His selection wasn't upfront either, the newest tune I heard him play was the Voodoo people remix which is old news. He needs to link up with some other cats in the UK so he can have a newer/broader selection. I'd have to say that the girl that played b4 him (Ill-esha?) did a much better job, kept the beats locked airtight (u should've headlined ;) ). Gotta give her props for droppin the One-Ton remix, haven't heard that on a big rig in a while. Big-ups to the two djs that preceded Hype also. Btw, I didn't hear Hype scratch once, isn't that what he's known for? I left after the first hour so maybe he did get busy in my absence.

I still had fun tho, nice venue, lots of ladies. Thanks again to Peanut for hooking up the tix at presale price :) Hopefully I can make it out to Vancouver sometime in the future. Trixx, thanks for recommending "Vinyl". I found some classic gems in their used section ;)

I didn't see hype scratch at all but it could be because he wasn't given a scratch mixer to work with...
