Finally awake... 5pm on Sunday.
Last night was awesome - one of the best parties I've ever attended. Wicked venue - nice and big. Nice lights and dancing square in front of the DJ booth. The sound was pretty good, I'd give it 8/10. I thought there were a few directional and positioning problems and were lacking a few speakers in the rear. If this venue gets booked again (which it definately should!), then the sound people should experiment with speaker positions in a surround type setup. The vibe was really amazing. Mostly everyone was into the music. Everything was also high class and 19+ was a good idea for this party. I enjoyed Deliverance & Soma's set a lot. Nice remixes of those popular radio songs. DJ Taylor from Global DJs was just mindblowing - his set had a LOT of energy and had me given'r HARD the whole time. Heard quite a few of my favorite tunes - that was wicked. My track of guilty pleasure is Shauna Vanguarde's remix of Abba's "Gimme! Gimme! Gimme!" and DJ Taylor threw it down right in the middle of his set which was just perfect. Overall, this was a well organized party which went down really well. Glad to see that everyone else liked it too. :D P.S. Shouts to everyone I saw and met last night! |

Me and Hyperfunk and a few friends made the trip up for this one. The venue was fucking sick... The sould sucked, but what do you expect in a train station? It was good to see some of you vancouver cats I don't get to see too often.
Hirshee!!! Congrats on getting your track signed onto Big Love. Thats huge! Some of those tracks Taylor played were unbelievable, but lets be real folks... That guy can't mix his way out of a wet paper bag. I guess I just expected to be wowed by one of the guys that produced atleast 4 or 5 records I have in my crate right now. But knowing your way arround a computer obviously doesn't make you a good DJ... He pretty much sucks. *shrugs* I had an awesome time, and you guys have an awesome scene.
