the first time i saw tiesto i bought a pair of tickets and then i won a pair from xfm (this was looooooong time ago), i sold my tickets at $30 ea, what i paid for them, but they were selling at $150 at the door. i can only imagine how much they will be going for this time. i shouldve sold my tickets at $100 a pop and treated my friends to some drinks :D
getting back to the scalping issue.... what do you call it when promoters jack up prices closer to an event? sure its not scalping but i always hated that and the fact that the first 100 or whatever cheap tickets never go out to the public. that equally sucks |

here's some simple facts for you. i've got 8 tickets for sunday. i'm going but have sold 2, and still have 4 for sale. i got all my tickets through ticketmaster legit during pre-sales. no special hook ups, i just typed in 'tiesto' in the password and got my tickets. i saw him in 03, 04 and now 06. every year i paid FACE VALUE for tickets. ya know why? because i didn't sleep on it when i knew the shit was on sale. so fuckin zip it. this happens for EVERY FUCKING SHOW. RAVE OR CONCERT. if i want good motley crue tickets i do the same shit. if i want raver tickets i do the same shit. if you sleep on it, you'll find yourself shit out of luck, or for a concert in the nosebleeds. THIS IS NOT NEW. IT'S BEEN THIS WAY FOREVER SO STOP FUCKING WHINING. not to mention tiesto's here for 2 nights. so there's really no excuse for people who missed out. |

thank you Karl. Sure i see both sides of opinion here but i agree with Karl. For the Tiesto show, any rave, concer,t hockey game, or whatever. People know very well in advance when tickets are going to be out. If you were not smart enough to buy them during that time then stfu. Its that simple. |

actually the presales password wasn't really advertised, the show itself hasnt really been advertised by the promoters. all the hype came from people who heard it from people who heard it from people. the whole presales thing was a bit messed up too, i didnt see a point in it, but whatever. im not whining, complaining or bitching. im not going and i wasnt planning on it in the first place.
in defense of people who didnt get the chance to buy tickets right away and who cant afford $200, not everyone has the ability to fork out $65 for a ticket on a short notice. the event or ticket sales werent really announced ahead of time. by the time those people could put together some money, tickets were all sold out and they got screwed. if you're going to scalp tickets, thats fine, everyone wants to make extra money, but be fair to people too and try to see the other side of the argument, just as a nice gesture |
