Thank you AUTOMATIC....
so...craze was the first person to put me onto d&b back before in the 90's, but t'was you guys that got me into it!
i liked going into the club and not knowing anyone and hearing music that was mostly unfamiliar to me glad we were able to collabo on some CRAZY events BAD COMPANY was possibly my fave actually...I-KAMANCHI was the shit too and of course KILLA KELA's full set from the DJ booth where only the 100 people in front of him could see what was going on, and can't remember who overheard this quote and posted it (not word-for-word): "wow, this DJ really sucks, he's not even mixing" my fave non-collabo at your night...SHY & SKIBBA thanks again fellas Stella is bracing for the decrease in 3rd quarter sales!!! John B So many more..Automatic was home from the first week I moved to Vancouver and to be able to see it grow over seven years...mercy.. There couldn't have been a more fitting way to go out last night then with Exocet's Demonseed It was good... |

Massive thanks to everyone that came out last night. Truely a night I will never forget. The place was packed early, and the floor was full all night.
I was honoured to have been a resident at Automatic over the last six months or so. Sad to see the weekly come to a close. So many great shows. Personal favs being Kamanchi, Zinc(!!!!), Friction, Shy & Skibba.... fuck the list goes on. Automatic has been my home on Tuesdays for 6 years now..... crazy that next Tuesday we won't be throwing down. Though the weeklys done, DnB in the city isn't. Look out as Automatic welcomes back DJ Status from Chase & Status Thurs Oct 19th @ Tokyo. Big ups to Tom for shooting photos ... if you ain't seen yet please peep his site www.sleepdep.ca . word -s |

Halloween this year will be a bit different for us too. As we've done the last 2 years, we'll have both The Mix and Lotus open. Once again its DnB in the Lotus with Automatic crew holding it down. The Mix will once again feature the twentyHz crew laying the funk and breaks down, but also Body Rock Fridays boys Matty & Dana D will be playing up there as well. Matty's been rocking to a different beat as of late, and apparently killing it. Big tings!

Great times last night... that was more than what I was expecting. Took it easy on the beers cause I was too impatient to wait in line at the bar, still I had a wicked time. Lots of old faces and lots on new ones just soaking up the last night there... Extra Large ups to Automatic for 7 of the best years Vancouver drum and bass has ever had. You all went out with a bang. Looking forward to Chase & Status and of course the infamous Halloween Clash. Respect.
