fucked up situations
wow. I usually try not to vent my super personal shit on here as best I can. but this is really bothering me today.
this girl who've I've been good friends with since I was just a kid came to town for the weekend in October 06. We hung out the first night she was in town, but not the second because she had to go to a family dinner. The next day she calls me and tells me someone broke into the place she was staying at and stole her laptop and some of her brothers stuff. Besides a couple more phone calls she basically avoids me the rest of the time she's here. Then she leaves to go back home and I dont hear from her until today, months later. Apparently a neibour of her brothers had described the theif as someone who matches my description, so this girl thinks it was me who ripped her and her family off!!! This is someone who've Ive been quite fond of since I was just a little shit. This shit is fucking ridiculous. I totally did not need this kind of stress today.

You've been friends since you were kids and she accuses you of stealing? That's pretty messed up. You figure knowing someone since childhood would count as something...

well if you think you can convince her that it wasn't you then try because you seem to want to keep the friendship.
If you believe it would be a waste of time trying to convince her, then don't waste your time just move along with your life. just another obstacle

^^^ It's hard to just "move on with life" after having such a long history with someone. It's a shame really
But then again, maybe things have changed and they're just not the same people they once were anymore?

Seriously, what kind of a person would do something like that to a good long time friend? She sounds like smut - eliminate her. The friendship doesn't even look like it needs to continue any further because of this situation. Try to just disappear and hopefully the situation will settle down by itself - and if not, only THEN start talking.

this is one of the more bizarre situations I've encountered for sure.
Its surreal, just some very unfortunate circumstances. The reason she was avoiding me until today was because she had all those suspicians and just wanted to avoid the conflict altogether. It all came out with this very unexpected email that i got this afternoon. Ive tried to get ahold of her to no avail. and i sent a long as rant explainin how fucked up it is of her to accuse me of that... I realise I cant help any of this, whatever happens will happen. Its just really shitty. So I think I'm gonna take your guys advice and not stress about it. Its just not worth it.

i talked to her a little while ago and I think we cleared things up. Basically there's a bunch of other worse stuff going on with her that doesnt have much to do with me. After hearing what she said, I have to forgive her- because despite this one very fucked up instance, she's a really great person. It sounds like she needs quality people in her life right now more than anything.

sounds like the time my ex accused me of cheating on him with one of his friends friends..... i felt like i had a butchers knife stabbed in my back... it was really hard to deal with because he was taking his friends word over mine and we had been going out for like 4 years...
anyhow.. u should confront her about it... if the friendship is important to you u need to talk to her about it and see whats up... if she really belives it was u.. then i dont know what to say... theres nothing u can really do.. and thats her loss really for beilive something stupid like that.. even though she should take ur work for it...
