Bitterness towards events
Seems like quite a few people continue to have a negative outlook on a lot of events coming up. Whether it's Apex or summerlove it seems like a lot of people have some inner issues to deal with. I can't understand why people take the standpoint of being so negative towards a show. I can understand if price is holding u back but honestly $10 and $40 isn't asking a lot considering the amount of talent that's going to be at these shows. Considering one record is worth $15 and you're going to hear about 100+ of em how can you bitch about price? I could spend countless hours defending shows and trying to make people see it another way but honestly I would be on the computer all day arguing with people who simply won't change their way of thinking. I believe life is all about experiences and expression and if you choose to miss out on an event and not attend it than so be it. Why try to create a negative movement towards it? You don't want to go? Fine. Let it be.
It's a shame we have so many peeps shittin on a good thing. Everything in life is a gouge...taxes, fees, parking tickets, speeding tickets, rent money, food costs, gas, bills, clothing, school, movies, sports, and just about everything. Why not spend all day bitching about these instead of something that's meant to bring entertainment and good times. Really makes me think how these people juggle their priorities... Props to all the supporters.. |

Totally agree with you Lex,
It seems everyone wants to bag events now. I dont understand if they hate it so much why they even attend any parties. Lights, sound, equipment, airfares, hotel accomidations, and permits dont just appear, these expenses must be paid to have the show go on! If people can't afford to go I can understand that, but when people dawg promoters who spend anywhere from 3-5 months preparing a show about how much ticket prices are, then they shouldnt attend and leave it at that. When I attended my first party I would never have thought it would be at where it is today! Parties are all about the music and people! Welll thats my two cents! Well here's my 2 cents.......I am also a little disturbed by the amount of negative attitudes towards promoters and their shows...I'm a newer promoter and a relativley new dj...and long time party goer.....i have seen the trouble people go through to throw this things....i've done it too.....it's sad when people don't understand and just complain....they just try to spend their whole time at a party looking at what's wrong with it rather then look at what it does have....they bash the people that turn out cause they managed to have fun.....or the dj's because there wasn't enough of this kind of music or that......but no ever think of the hours or money that 1 dj has spent into their set for an event......or the number of hours the people behind the scenes spend like clean up or set up, i mean when you bash a certain promoter your not just bashing him but a whole lot of people who didn't have money invested or who weren't looking to profit but still put in alot of hard work....the next time you wanna bash a party think about it......just my opinion though
