I'm sorry... you won't be able to save up 10,000 dollars for school in Feb. AND live on your own. I'm making 50 grand a year right now, living cheap right now.. and STILL can't save up money in any substantial amount. It sucks, but look for loans if you must move to TO. and go to school.

Well this looks like a thread that I specialize in... I work in the industry of finding people jobs, career coaching, etc.. although primarily for the IT/Technology sector it still carries on to all different kinds of things. To further, I am also a Libra! :-p (October 10th baby!)
I have lived on my own and supported myself 100% since I was 17... It is not an easy task. I make very good money and still it is difficult to save in significant amounts. The reason for this is that no matter how much you make, your lifestyle will adjust to that amount IE: you start making more money, you buy nicer clothes or something, go out for dinner more, etc... To save any significant form of money requires a complete lifestyle readjustment. To save $10K by February will be a challenge - that is basically $2500 a month from now till then after taxes! A loan is definitely in the cards. Instead of looking for a job right now, I would go and talk with your bank about obtaining a loan for school. Ask them to lay all the different options/payment plans for a $10K+ loan. Once you have that kind of information, then you can plan what/where you get a job that will allow you to pay that monthly/bi-weekly cost plus live. Good luck! |
