uh old navy? if you dont like it and you try it on you should hang it back up? and put it away?
id say, its your job to do that. i wouldnt throw it on the ground or anything but if im not gona buy it, im not gonna hang it up properly and put it back where it belongs, esp. since most times i try to do taht, the person who works there gets all hissy, and demands to take them for the most part....(not folding right?!) so yeah. id say tahts your job yo. |

hahah it is my job..but it REALLY sucks when someone brings in 50 gazillion items and leave it a huge mess inside the change room. the most u can do is bring it out onto the table. run backs REALLY suck.. but its a good way to take my time and put everything back to where it belongs. sad to say lotsa ppl just throw stuff on the ground and turn a neatly folded pile into a huge mess. wuteva..like u said. its my job to clean up after others...sucks!
courtz...u work everyday over the weekend? tats brutal..eekz. find another job THEN quit. mmmm ice cream |

Bev, your store is NOTHING compared to mine!!!
We have the highest traffic in Richmond Centre, it's fucking crazy some days. During back to school we had the doors closed (like on Boxing Day). Linds, you're right. As a customer, NEVER go put your stuff back. It's not your job, and the reasons why we ask customers not to put back the items they have tried on are: - loss prevention - organization - WE ARE BEING PAID TO DO IT! I feel bad when people hang stuff up for me, or try to put their own stuff back. I am providing a service and each of the aforementioned duties are parts of my job! If each customer did those things, there would be no need for more than a couple of employees per shift. Not to be mean or anything Bev, but STOP BEING A LAZY BUM :D |

i know i know i know i know...=(
we were hopin to have a limited number that ppl can try on, but its against old navy rules to have a limit. i like doing run backs though.. and folding stuff has gotten a lottttt easier. i *heart* retail |

At my store, people are allowed at max of 5-6 items. If they have more than that, we keep the others outside of the room and let them trade. That way it's a lot easier for us to keep track of how many items go in and out, and they don't dump a huge load of clothes on us when they come out of the fitting rooms. You should suggest that method to your manager =) |

on the first day of training we all asked about it...but its old navy's policy to have everyone feel welcomed and have freedom. blah blah blah...in otherwards if a customer wants to bring the whole store in with him/her....we allow it. its hard for them to change rules like that..they have to go to the head manager of old navy and if one store changes a policy...all the stores in canada has to as well.

the one thing i -dont- miss about working at suzy!
the amount of crap ppl would just throw on the ground ... 50% of the time it was to hide what they uh, left, for us.. like the nice day when i found SHIT yes, poop, in a changing room. or the time when we got these gorgeous well kind of nice dresses in - one was white, i guess someone thought itd be funny to uh, share their monthy guest with our dress.. - so until you have horror stories like that, be glad. the whole putting your clothes away - i never do it. but i do fold them nicely and hang them back on hangers and hand them over nicely to the person. but i never put them away, thats their job. but yea ... i kind of miss retail, i wanna work at a better store.. maybe i'll go drop off resume's today.. |
