rolling your ankle
i swear if there is one thing in the world i hate its ANKLE PAINS!
my ankle is super inflamed right now.. that ball thing on it is about twice the size as the right one! i came down on it from about 5feet up and going pretty fucking fast and it rolled and heard some nice crackish sounds.. not broken though... FUCK YOU ANKLE :Peenutt: |

usually when i roll my ankle during bball or vball.. i just jump up and down...run around..tough it out..ice it and its usually better. hurts a like a bitch.. but im an active girl.. i need my ankle workin everyday. |

i don't think i'll be going for a job... i was talking to some chick who works in a hospital at the skate park i was at and she told me to stay away from my eck for about 2or3 days or i'll hurt it again doing something small... which is true. i hurt it 2weeks ago and the next day i was up and about skating everything.. and i guess it never healed. stupid ankle. should just be able to buy a new one :Peenutt: |

generally, once you've stretched or torn a ligament, it will never be as strong as it used to be and will be more susceptible to injuries... which is what it sounds like happened to you, because the swelling could be an indication that something tore...
and not to try and scare you or anything, but tearing a ligament is actually worse than breaking a bone, just because ligaments never heal due to the lack of blood supply... but anyways, I'm not doctor and I've never seen your ankle so who knows.. it could be a tendon or something... but I know exactly how you feel. I tore my anterior cruciate ligament on my knee and had reconstructive surgery for it. it's still never the same as it was before, but a lot tighter than it was when I tore it. it pops from time to time though. :( anyways.. take care of that ankle. --Joanne :P |

like bebu said, ice it on and off till the swelling goes down, then get yourself some physio, like bananasinpjs said, your ankle gets weeker every time you go over on it, a "good" physiotherapist will help you strengthen the muscles around your ankle so your less likely to fuck it up again...or you can just leave it and keep rolling over on it till it goes lax, then you can get surgery! =)

ankles suck.. i used to do gymnastics and had permantly sprain/twisited ankles that some days I couldn't even walk on, yet still had to do practice. now they are fucked...
my advice - take lennys advice.. there are lots of ankle strengthening exercises that really help... and stay out of high impact things that involve jumping and stuff for a bit |

well the swelling is down ALOT since i rolled it.
and its finally feeling abit better... and since its wet out i don't skate on it. so i think it will have good time to rest and get better. if its still sore in a couple days i'm gonna go get it checked out :Peenutt: |
