limo company ate my money...
oh my god!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
my grad banquet / aftergrad is this Saturday night and i was going to go in a limo with 7 of my friends. we have already paid the $600 price tag... thats around $75 each... and i was already unhappy about spending all that money on something kinda stupid and now i find out that... MY LIMO COMPANY HAS GONE BANKRUPT!!! :146: :211: :239: :233: :296: :301: :102: :183: this means that we have NO LIMO and on top of that i've been told that chances are that we're not ever going to see a refund of any of that money!!! so now we probably won't be able to get another limo in time... even if we could i don't think everybody's going to want to shell out another $100 or something. I guess we could get some of our mummies or daddies to drive us but i don't know how well that would work out with all the alcohol and/or OTHER substances we may be planning to ingest that night... oh well, i guess its kind of funny in a sad way... i just hope my friends will be good enough to pay the money they still owe me for the limo service that we'll never get (cause the bill went on my credit card... big mistake???) so any other grads out there should check to make sure they still have a limo just in case... the company was "classic limo" or something like that i think... i hope that nobody else booked with this company!

That ROYALLY sucks dood.
I hope your friends cough up the cash. I've been in similar situations, and you may have to hurt someones feelings in order to get paid back. Nowadays I only give credit to people that work. Too much BS involved collecting, unless you like to break things.

Man! Obviously the company is a scam...cuz generally, if a company knew they're facing bankruptcy, the 2-3 months prior to the official date they will declare bankrupt, they shouldn't accept any invoices. It goes by the laws here…
You have the rite to sue their ass and pursue for compensations though, is gonna cost u for doing that. Sowwie to hear that, that sux ass big time! Aii…

you should see if you can stop it at the credit card end.
its kinda hard to charge for a service that you didn't get. did you give the number over the phone or did you sign for it in person? if you gave it over the phone and didn't sign anything then you SHOULD be able to stop the transaction at the credit card end. hope you get some of it back hon.

DAMN LIMOS!
At least you had NOTICE that you wouldn't have a limo! I went to the Westview grad, and we got scammed that night!! it was saturday, and when we went outside to go to our limo... it was gone!!! Apparently, some of the parents that were there asked the limo guy to give them a 20 minute ride before we came out. He said sure for $100 and they said yes! (which is ridiculous). when they got back to where we were, they were paying him, and he said yeah, I need 100 bucks, and money for the night!!! MY FRIENDS HAD PAYED SOOOO LONG AGO! so my friend Aaron's mom gets in a huge fight with the guy, and the asshole just takes off!!! LEAVING US ON GRAD NIGHT... WITH NO LIMO!!!
He fully scammed us... what a bitch!!! Needless to say... my grad who had paid 300 bucks for the both of us... was pissed right off...

is that not highly ILLEGAL for a company to declare bankrupcy and then turn around and say "ummmm yeeeeeeah...we're bankrupt...so we can't supply you win a limo.....but we'll take your money!" cunts. WRITE A LETTER! or make a phone call to the BBB or something? A lot of my friends are having last minute problems with their limos as well....but not I....why? cuz we don't have a limo...we have THE DUCKY BUS! WUH-WUH! (all of you shut up...)

the grad i went to..my friends had a limo..but y'know what?! the limo driver was FUCKED up..omg!! he was turning off some road k...traffic was backed up so there was obviously no way he could make it without blocking hte lane with the traffic going in the other direction..but nooo stupid fucker turned anywayz.. well i look out hte window..a nd there's a fucking 18 wheeler cumming RIGHT AT US honking!! i'm like wtf?! and lucky right thent raffic went and we turned enuff so that the truck didn'tg et us.. fucking hell.. the guy didn't even speak english either...oi

yeah our bus has a hot tub in the back. it's pretty fucked up...but fun. It comes with a driver and everything and there's little tables and couches in the bus to sit on.
It should be interesting, come grad night...

addy - that's terrible what happened to you! sad thing is that in the past few days i've heard a few similar stories. so my friends and i decided that we should just fork over the money for another limo (and hope that this one isn't some kind of a scam)... we're also going to raise hell and somehow try to get at least some of our money back from that other company... we got some of the parents involved and i think they're more pissed off than i am. the fishy thing is about the whole classic limo thing is that they went bankrupt on like the 6th or the 8th of May... we may have even paid AFTER that (i don't know cause my friend made the transaction) and if we did they were blatantly ripping us off... even if we did pay before that it would have been only by like a week and there's NO WAY they didn't know their business was going to hell... bastards!!! oh, and Colleen, you ARE coming to aftergrad!!! if not willingly then Heather and i will drug you and carry you there. i don't particularly like half the people in our gradclass either but they're all going to be really nice cause they'll be pissed out of their minds. and hey, it might be fun attempting to dance to that top 40 shit...

Omigod......
Thatz fuckin' teeeeerrible! I was so afraid that something like that was going to happen to me on grad.....thank god it didn't.....BUT we did get a fucking idiot of a limo driver and he....well.....he just sucked. He didn't know how to drive, wouldn't drive us anywhere, wouldn't let us drink, wouldn't let us control the windowz or sunroof ourselvez (and we are NOT rowdy kidz).....so we left really early even though our limo time wasn't up.......
My advice....is to take Wundergirlz advice.......... Good luck.......get those fuckin' bastardz. *Jen*

Twig-E- ya dude! a bunch of my friend's had the Ducky bus for our grad! apparently it's the shit......
ahhh!!! this whole limo scam really bites! fuck them! i'd say sue them and take them for all they're worth......but apparently that's not much! you should get 100% of your payments back, plus compensation for a screwed over grad night on their behalf! ahhh....my limo story isn't that bad...but seriously...do any limo sitches work out JUST RIGHT?? cuz mine broke down.....ya, we had to get it jump started. so, we couldn't go to Q.E. park for pics with everybody else... then....we were gonna go to seymour before aftergrad or something...but NOOO!!! we gotta get pulled over by the cops for however long it was cuz the driver doesn't have proper insurance or something!! hehe...good thing for those cool little bottle shoots in the back...eh heh..:Kam:
