welfare.
i'm all for welfare.. except for one asepct of it!
i was chatting with someone about it. and they said that welfare will cover the costs of new drivers taking driving school so that they can get their licences quicker.. in 3 months rather than 6 if you don't take the school. I THINK THAT IS FUCKING BULLSHIT! that course is like 800 bux or some shit like that. and i didn't even take it because it was too much money. just because they don't have it as good as some people doesn't mean they should get THAT kind of special treatment just so they can driver quicker than the majority. not to mention it comes from out tax dollars. :Peenutt:

welfare is a joke. it's abused sooo fuckin much that i dunno if it should even exist anymore. it could be my bitterness toward paying for some cracked out lazy asses that sit at home and have NO INTENT on ever getting a job. I know that some people really need it. But it seems the bad outweighs the good.

word..im gonna ahve to agree with you guys im some instances, because i am a selfish person and i don't want to pay for some dumb fuck because he's a crackhead, or lazy or just plain stupid. but at the same time i feel welfare is essential.
i'll elaborate more on the issuse, when im not so busy, im sure this will turn into a heated thread soon.

Welfare isnt a joke to me.. cause there are people out there that have used it for good reasons.
My mother and I were on it.. and yeah that was an experience.. heh.. thanx gawd we got outta it though.. but that was whenI was like 4.. and we never had enough $$ to have shit like that.. we were scrapping by.. I think if they make it that good now.. ugh.. it should be cut.. cause of course ppl are gonna abuse.. fuck people got it easy these days.. it disgust me! driving school.. 800 from the tax payers.. fuck.,.. jovi..most people on welfare can't afford cars, and you guys were the type of people that deserve welfare the most.
the problem with healthcare is its not good enough to even help epople and at the same time its so abused, and so much money is wasted willy nilly by civil servants who know as much about managing finances as i do about deep space exploration. hers the problem..welfare is not enought, 800 a month is nothing, especially if your a single mother, plus i don't think youre allowed to work and receive welfare at the smae time. thats bullshit man, i cna't even survive of 800 bucks a month how can someoen with children pay for it? and at the same time theres also tons of fraud, and people who don't even need welfare on it. like long time users. welfare is supposed to be temparary not a permant thing. anyway welfare not as big as an issuse as health care, now thats a fuck up. i don't get it, you have all these people talking about the governments need to keep spending more on it, i say no way man..we need to look at the way hospitals are run, i can tell you for sure that there tons of waste in the system. you have poeple who wash dishes and get paid $18 a hour for it, what the fuck? secondly you have people goign into emergency rooms for stomach aches..we need user fees, like 5 bucks for every visit. till cut down on people coming in for stupid shit, they can go to clinics for that. finally unlike many canadains i beleive that there should be some what of a two tiered system. i mean if people can afford it why shouldn't they be able to go to a private hospital? also docotrs should be paid more, they go through all that education and they get paid so relatively little? also why do they have ray romanow giving a report on healthcare? he's just a politician, a NDP politician at that, of course he's going to suggest that we through more money at the problem. they should get people who actually know shit to do their consulting..umm like maybe docotors, real experts and of course finacial consultants aswell. so they can figure out a efficant and effective way to run our health care system.

I think thats a whole buncha bullshit about welfare paying for driving schools...welfare doesnt even give thier recipients money 2 buy clothing to go look for jobs with so ya... i dunno bout that

BULLSHIT. it's good idea for people who need it, and i wouldn't want it taken away. i mean what if one day i needed it? even though it's not much, it's something. and something is better then nothing. but they need a better system.. me and my parents were actually talking about it earlier. like for those who have kids they need lika a stamp system. (like food stamps) where they can take these, and go into stores and buy things for their KIDS. not themselves. but it's not actual cash. meh, but it's all prolly too much work and they'd never do it anyways..

oh ya, and they shouldn't pay for driving school!!
NOT FAIR!! i need driving school, but i still have to pay the $800.. that's a large amount. i could see maybe a discount they could work out with the driving school, but not full out pay for it. that's fucking stupid. i mean half of them can't even afford a car, let alone pay to keep up a car (insurance, gas, repairs) that's so stupid.
