Peeps that join F&K and don't even say hello

So i noticed that we have been getting a few members here and there that join and don't even introduce themselves. In fact they don't even post. Maybe they are too busy?

Anyone else have any ideas?:070:

i say delete them if they sign up and don't post. or give them a trial date where they have to post like 10 times or so in a month for them to stay on the boards. like a probationary period.

That's a toughy Lex...but Vince has a good idea...you need some sort of filtering process in which they must (?) post an average of 5 to 10 posts a month to keep their account...

But trying to keep track of all those new members...that's gonna be a handful :097:

I think there should be some sorta filtering system in place as well, just cause F&K Members get/will be getting certain deals with the Member Card that is coming out...and well, anybody can sign up. It's one thing to be a "member", but another thing to actually contribute and keep the boards alive.

hmmm..its nice to know there are always new members...and there is a section for newbies to intro themselves or wutever...i mean...they could be shy but??..i dunno...wut kimmie said about the five posts a month seem good...but if they do get deleted..they can just sign up again rite?....hmmm..??...and wut about all the members that are here that don't post?..wouldn't be fair if we just left them alone...:Lazee: ..j/j...i dunno~!

they prob just people who heard about the site and have either forgotten about it, or just chosen not to re-visit.........i say delete them

i'd say give em a certain amount of time to make a certain amount of post s(like..5-10 posts in the first month) and if they don't..then delete them... i bet half of em won't even remember about it if they never cum and then they won't even notice?? but if it is important they can always sign up again...

but idunno bout having it so you have to have at least 5-10 posts every month..cuz then those who are members now just don't talk much might get deleted even tho they contribute?? i dunno..kinda confusing...

but i really don't see the point of being a member and signing up adn nto even talking..
i bet half of em won't even notice they've been deleted..and meh if it's that important to them they can sign up again..

i was on xtcity before and i didn't post much. i logged in bout every day other day to read stuff for self-amusement (when i was *ahem* studying n all) but i never posted all the time. maybe once or twice a month max. the topics didn't really provoke me enough to post. it'd be fun to read but i didn't have much to say after reading.....

and another thing. people on f&k (like every other site) are such a community. you see the same ppl post all the time. and everyone knows each other....it makes it more fun to post if you know everyone, but if you don't--i guess it makes you feel much like an outsider. man, i would've never posted or joined f&k if i didn't talk to adam...i guess being invited makes one feel welcome as opposed to "forcing" your way in.

but yeah...i can see why someone might NOT post cuz they feel like an "outsider" but then why sign up in the first place??? i don't know. maybe when someone fills out the form to sign up, there should be a thing at the bottom stating that one who doesn't log in/post for a specific time period will be deleted

they do that at hotmail. if you don't log on to your account for a month and a half, they delete your account. no joke.

i mean it's not like ur doin it just to be RUDE or anything.. I mean it makes a lot of sense! Even hotmail and stuff does that!! If you don't use your accoune like at least one prior to ur regristration then they delete your account..

I think that u should send a email to the ppl who haven't posted at all , telling them that their account will be deleted if they do not post or show any interest in the site .Give them one more change and if there is no change delete them , if they want to come back then they can sign up again.

if they join and don't post thats there thing, not ours. no filtering system will be installed by me atleast, i don't see a reason for it.
