Stubborn People
 My dad has to be the most stubborn guy in the whole world, especially when it comes to his art or that would compormise his ability to paint. Not that he hasnt already overcome alot already im nea hes colourblind and has to fight dupitrends, a condition which tightens the tendons in the hand until all his fingers are subject to staying in a fist. But you;d thin hed have some sense. Anyways, on boxing day my dad had an accident at work, the propane stove exploded one him, burning his arms up to and including his elbows and his lower neck in first and primarily second degree burns. BUT, being the stubborn guy he is he wont admit that his hands need serious medical attention, cuz he doesnt want to admit he may not be able to paint, so he wouldnt go to the doctor, and he continued to go to work :284: !!! Without letting his hands heal. Sheesh!!! All cuz he doesnt wanna give into the fact his hands are damaged. Sorry i jsut had to vent cuz sometimes i feel like my dad needs the parenting!

i can sympathize with your dads stubborness but if those burns are that bad he's gotta get his ass to a doctor. I'm probably one of the most stubborn people ever, and I am never wrong and will never admit or show any sign of weakness. why?
becuz i'm fucking stubborn. if anything ever happened to my arms/hands and i couldnt play drums...screw that noise i would find a way to keep doing what i love. being able to paint while colorblind is amazing, i have color blindness CV3 so i'm pretty fucked for vision. does your dad have anywhere we can see his work?

Those are really nice, so I can see why he doesn't want to admit the fact that he needs medical attention. The bad part is that if he doesn't go see a doctor than the results could end up worse and damage his career more than if he would have just gone to the doctor in the first place.

My dad is pretty stupidly stubborn as well.
He needed something done to his gall bladder, and cause he didn't want to leave my mom at work all by herself, he wouldn't take any medication for the surgery. So there he is after the surgery, about to collapse, working... agh...

my dad's not nearly as bad but it's the same thing. not to long ago he was lifting a cast iron frying pan, and he kind of twisted it to get stuff out and then nearly dropped it. he tore some ligaments in his left elbow. for the longest while he couldn't use his arm. couldn't put any pressure on it, and it was useless. but he kept trying to use it. meanwhile me and my mom were trying to get him to go to the doctor and he was like no don't worry it'll go away. turns out he's got tendonitis, needed pain killers and anti-inflammartories so it could heal and he's not supposed to use it. he's also supposed to go for physio but he won't.
damn stubborn dad's. they won't listen to their wives/daughters when it comes to doctors and stuff.

my whole family is like that. you just gotta let 'em win sometimes.
if it's not an important thing just be like "ok that's fine" if it's improtant however you gotta try and make them see.

my whole family is super stubborn too....my mom and dad both are...ad me and my brother are really bad....i hope all goes well w/ ur dad babe....cuz hes got talent! i love his style! i just hope the best for him...because what is there u can do...normally im good w/ this kinda thing...but its hard because i understand how he is!
