My Doctor (STAB)
oh man
i'm sick right now and i've got an ear infection i spent three and a half hours literally tearing my hair out today cause my ear became inflamed of something (still unknown cause my doctor is worthless) and it hurt like hell!! so i finally make it to my doctor, tears rolling down my face from the gruesome agony that i was going through #1 - She weighs me like c'mon now that's great, i know how much i weigh...but IT HURTS!!! #2 - When she FINALLY gets her fat ass in to check me out she can't really find anything wrong with me (as i'm sitting there twitching in pain) #3 - She gives me a perscription for some penicillin and i asked her what i can do to quickly ease the pain, cause for the last 3 and a half hours i've been ready to cut off my head to make it better. She's like: suck a hard candy :264: I was ready to tell her what she could suck... Useless

fuckers! i hate doctors!
a couple years ago, i was misdiagnosed by a doctor at the hospital. they told me i had torn ligaments when i really had a fucking BROKEN ankle!!! so i thought i had torn ligaments until my family doctor took a look at the x-rays, called up my mom and said you better get down to the hospital with Taralyn (me) because she has a broken ankle! then i got a cast. like WTF!! i hear ya!!

Uhh.. if its an ear infection the sucking action probably does something with the pressure between your mouth and ear and CAN possibly help the pain.

I once had severe eczema and the doctor told me I had a skin infection. when I came back after nothing helped, she told me I had an allergy to the sun. when I told her I was on a soccer team and was constantly out in the sun but that didn't always aggravate the symptoms, she said "oh... well, I don't know then." and opened the door for me to leave.
I can understand that doctors are not perfect and can't always know exactly what's wrong with the patient. but my doctor was just plain ignorant. she didn't even bother trying to refer me to a specialist. after I stopped going to her, my mom took me to a chinese doctor. they gave me these special herbs to cook so I could drink it and it eventually went away. personally, I think a lot of western medicine is shit. --Joanne :P

^ I agree with you.
I've been sick my whole life. Always tired, always getting strep throat etc etc. My mom has insisted from day one that I was lactose intollerant. The doctors said, even after my parents told them that when they diluted my formula my collic and crying subsided a little, that there was nothing wrong with me. Well my healt got worse every year of my life to the point where I had chronic fatigue, irritable bowel syndrome, and strep throat at least once a month. I don't know what took me so long, but I figured my DOCTOR would be able to figure something out one day. I got fed up with the fact they just kept pumping me full of meds so i went to a naturopath. She taught me about food sensitivities etc and suggested a blood test. I think she was a little too into making money herself (she has bilboards and advertisements allover theplace) So I decided to talk to my doctor again before taking the $500 blood test. So she goes.. oh yah.. food sensitivites they can cause this and that (she proceeded to list every single ailment I had) She also blood tests don't really work so try this food elimination diet. THE STUPID BITCH HAD THAT DIET SITTING IN HER OFFICE MY WHOLE FREAKING LIFE AND NEVER THOUGHT OF IT ONCE. Ends up the first thing you eliminate is milk and guess what, that IS what's been making me sick my whole fucking life. grrrrr. Doctors know shit about diet and nutrition, they barely even know anything about depression and anxiety. They are taught about common illnesses etc, and to medicate/treat it. I was fed meds for most my life and they never worked. They never once stopped to think that all my depression and anxiety could be more than just chemical. I did some research of my own, changed my diet and the way I thought on a dialy basis and fixed almost everything. But I'm going to end my rant now before I get too worked up :P

Doctor failed to give me something for my flu cause in the state i was in i was kinda concentrating on the pain in my ear, not the flu that i've had for the last week and a half. bah bah bah :finger:
