Whoa thats nuts. They must of had some reason that they wanted to search ur bag and cuff you. If they didnt tell u the reason I believe that u can sue em for that....

Ya cops can be assholes, especially delta pd, and vancouver pd those guys will beat you down for any little thing they crazy. RCMP ain't as bad. The ones i dislike the most are the guys that work for security company's(police adademy failure's) those guys are really fucking annoying but fun to lip off.

they just asked to look in your bag, you asked for a good reason, and they arrested you? holy shit. that's like... really fucking illegal. i'd suggest carrying around a copy of the charter of rights with you at all times, from now on. i know if that were me, i'd throw a fit. i also probably would have written a few letters to the papers, my mp, the prime minister, and city hall. this is absolute bullshit. i certainly do applaud you for not giving in without a fight.

its illegal for po9 or anything of the gay sort, to check you with out a reason.... i'd complain hella about that... they certainly cannot arrest you (place u in hand cuffs) without explaining why you are under arrest...

^^ placing you in handcuffs ISNT putting you under arrest...there are many circumstances when handcuffin and detainment are carried out for a short period of time without a formal arrest.
still, im curious as to how legit this situation really was... ill ask my boss tomorrow ( i work at a law office ).

^^ apparently, police can only search your person and belongings if they have "articulatable cause" menaing that they must have either been witness to or have substantive grounds to assume that you have something in your possesion that is illegal/stolen.
HOWEVER- it is your duty to clearly tell the officer that YOU DO NOT GIVE HIM PERMISSION TO CHECK YOUR BAG (or come into your house) because if you say nothing, it is interpreted in the eyes of the law as "assumed permission", thus allowing them to conduct searches etc... Your best bet is to ask to speak with YOUR lawyer, and demand to know the reason if yoyu are ever cuffed

Those fucking pigs, i was just finnishing off a piece and they tried 2 sneak up on me but i saw them comeing leaveing me plenty of time 2 run. Unfortunately i got cut up by prickles and pulled a muecle in my leg. Atleast i didn't get caught though cause they would of beat me up for sure.
Ya and this all happened because someone on this board who shall remain nameless heated out the spot. peace,
