Hmmm...my worst retail experiences are from working at london drugs when people ask me the price of things and then get mad when I didn't know them off the top of my head...well considering we have over 16000 different items you'll have to forgive me if I don't know the cost of a box of tacks...grrrr...
I think everyone should have to work a retail/customer service job for at least 3 months. Granted, when I do get bad service I usually approach the person in a polite manner instead of whining. If the person is then a bitch to me, I see the manager. Everyone makes mistakes but getting mad at me for your mistake is unnacceptable. Especially when I approach you nicely. |

What you just typed out there is what I like to call "your problem". Not "the customers problem", your problem. There is no place for emotional breakdowns and other crap behind the counter. Someone pulls you aside to bitch? Well, suck it up, take it in the ass, and keep moving. Can't handle the heat? Then don't work. If you don't like being bitched at, there are 2 things you could do : - Don't fuck up. Can't be bitched at if there's nothing to bitch about. - Don't work. You don't get bitched at for sitting around all day waiting for a welfare cheque. and no need for this --> :finger: I know you're passionate about your Mcdonald's job and all... PeAcE |

i don't come to your work and tell you how to be a fuckin tard. so don't tell me how to do my job.
cuz i know 30 more seconds gettin a meal at mcdicks is a real killer. wah wah wah. i want my fatty foods NOW. GIMME GIMME GIMME. btw: mistakes happen, don't act like you've never fucked up at work. if you even have a job. |

Well first of all, that is assuming that I become a raging bitch inside whatever Mcdicks you call home. Which I won't. I have never even come close to blowing my top inside any restaurant, for whatever reason. Second of all, there's nothing illogical about the points I made, they make perfect sense. Put aside your McDicks pride for a second and think it through. Third, you're the perfect example of people who resort to threats when they can't think of anything to say. *clap clap clap* I hope you have many many enjoyable years of dealing with customers like me (read: the average customer) with that mindset. |

I agree with Magi on this one.
If you work in the service industry, part of your job is learning how to deal with customer complaints. When the customers expectations are not met, they have every right to be angry. McDonalds promises fast and efficient service and when that doesn't happen, people are guaranteed to be upset. Mr. Green, instead of asking us to put ourselves behind the counter and see things from your position, why don't you try putting yourself in the shoes of the customer?? It doesn't seem that hard to put together a simple cheeseburger and deliver it quickly. Maybe it is when you're understaffed or whatnot, but like Magi said, thats YOUR PROBLEM. If you can't meet the service quality levels, then be prepared to deal with the angry customers.. and that means sucking it up, hearing them out, and offering ways to make things better. |

hmm, act like a child and throw a hissy fit? or speak politely like an adult and just lodge a complaint through the proper means. because anyone complaining in a reasonable manner isn't going to get hated on. it's the pricks who yell and act like children that are the problem.
btw: for all you hardliners. next time someone bitches at you at your job, STFU and take it like a man then. don't complain to a single person you know. CUZ LIFE'S A BITCH. regardless of how petty the problem is. if you get ragged on for being 30seconds late. you better keep your mouth shut then. |

Question : Who is this post aimed at? Who are these "hardliners" you speak of. Your post is very vague as are most of your posts Because the way I'm interpreting it, it's directed at Mr.Green, but then Mr.Green goes Quote:

TOP service and everything... and im just like any other employee, i have my bad days n shit... but i have to be entertaning and outgoing and friendly (hosting) it bittttes. but i try not to bitch at anyone... just cuz i know how they are probably feeling and that me chastizing them isn't gonna help shit... cept for this one time i got my burger at BK and it was very abnormally pink in the middle and i took it back and the girl was like "WHAT? you didn't say you wanted it 'well-done'" i was like... uhhhhhh at BK? oh.... well i actually want it medium-well... .. like wtf was that??? lolz

i try to set work aside from my personal life. I HATE bringing work home with me on a mental and emotional level. Either way, I have more problems with my CO-WORKERS than I have with my customers. It's more stressful working out sales disputes, and customers, on the other hand, give us something to laugh and bitch about.
If anything, I've learned a lot of patience... and I've never seen so many 15 year olds sport out louis vuitton/chanel/dior bags in my life :P |

ohh yeah and about the customer is always rite policy...thats what kills us...cause even tho its not OUR FAULT we still have to appologize so the customer doesn't get mad and even tho we kno that they are trying to rip us off we still have to give them what they want...if we do happen to mess up u can tell us, not saying that u should have ur burger with no patty and be satisfied all i'm saying is DON'T BE A FUKEN JACKASS ABOUT IT... peace out |
