Damn Car!
I am sooo pissed now...
My car was supposed to be ready today but I just got a call from Kirmac and they said my bumper was late so it won't be done until Monday. (I got rear ended awhile back and someone tried breaking into my car so I am getting all of it fixed at once.) So... since I am carless... Who wants to give me a ride from Tribeca to Classified tonight? :c-tard: |

You're right that I do have option for a car rental but I thought, since the weather is sooooo nice out and it's only 5 days, that I would say no to that and actually get some excercise! So I've been walking to/from work for the past week all happy that my car will be back today @ 5PM and then this happens... DOH!
I just talked to the Kirmac dude and he is pissed as well at Honda because the bumper was promised yesterday afternoon and then it moved till this morning and now it will be arriving at 3PM today. Given they close @ 5PM, that's not long enough to paint, dry and then everything else. Hmmmmmm... I wonder what kinda free shit I can get outta this one! |

NO SEAN! DONT BUY NEW!
seriously. u could spend $30,000 on some new car OR u could spend 10 grand on a new car with $20,000 of upgrades! now doesnt that sound a helluva lot better? of course, it can be variable. u could spend $5000 on the car with $10,000 on upgrades and whatnot, it all depends on ur finaces. and by upgrades, i mean shit like a new paintjob, new rims, tires, soundsystem, even an engine if u have enough money. come on! dont fall into the trap of "newer is better". with the money ppl spend on new cars, they could make older cars better than new! u get what i'm saying here? |

ignoring all the discussion about mods, buying new is a bad idea financially. the depreciation on new cars is about enough to make you puke. yes, it'll make you puke.
go to one of the big lots, look around, and see what you can get for the same price you'd pay for new. you'd be amazed. warranty packages can help even out the score mechanically. though, the car is "used" so if that bothers you, then this is a moot point. |

buy a dealership demo, the ones where it's been driven for about a year or so. often driven by the management of the dealership. you will save a boatload of money. and it's basically one year of useage on your ride. it's a judgement call, but in most cases your basically buying a 1 year old car off of a 40+yr old professional who's driven those type of cars for years.
my point: it's not a big deal to a guy who works at VW to drive a new jetta, so he won't be shit kicking it. comprende? with the money you save, you can have a money fight. |
