After years sobriety, I've hit the bottle yet again
...not with alcohol though, with these message board shenanigans.
Long ago, in a galaxy far, far away there was a bright blue background called loungex. An avid attendee, and frequent contributor I was, and this site is bringing about habits that have long since been dormant. I stayed away from that blue crack even before it's final demise, and somehow they always bring me back. This is FnK. It started off innocent enough, checking out club nights to see which DJ was in town, and what time they played. Finding out the new locals and what the new trend this month seems to be. Gotta have some funk! Then it esculated. I started browsing and looking at mostly the joke section and the occasional movie review. This is all window shopping have you, so I wasn't posting just watching all from behind the scenes, and only once in awhile really. Then it esculated a little bit more. Since my roomie is glued to the FnK sorority it doesn't take long for me to hear any news about these boards pertaining to me. I hop online and see some tidbits about me, and can't help myself but add some comments. This was the end for me. It's over. I tried to resist, but the force is to strong. That night we went out and got completely blitzed. It was anarchy at it's finest. The Bourdon definatley took care of us that night. The day after the pictures of our drunkin fiesta are online. Don't you love this digital revolution. A crazy night out and the evidence is world wide before the nights end. So I made some new friends, and got reaquianted with old ones. These boards are a pretty darn good way to stay connected with people. I'm an anti-social bastard as it is, so this helps on all those levels. Let the mayhem begin. (this whole post was basically made just so I could say "shenanigans") Last edited by doubletake; Jul 22, 03 at 11:28 PM. |

Aww i know how you feel - after the end of 'the blue crack' (as you so eloquantley put it) I was msg board free -- I had no thoughts of msg boards (although while cking my email i would sometimes type loungex just in case...)
then I became a secretary and my figers started to do the walkingand slowly they started doing the talking - and then next thing you know I'm here all the time..and I'm meeting people from here *sigh* I remember when i didn't know what a msg boards was... |

Adrienne: I'm out of hibernation for now. The prowling starts later.
Shawn: Shut up! Cerah: Sadly, I don't think that will happen, but we'll have to figure out another night we can all go see a movie or something. Is it actually possible to go out without drinking beer? Hmm...rubish. Dale: Yes once, may he rest in peace. Jingles: *sigh* It looks like I'm drawn here once again. Maybe it's just a summer fling sort deal. Last edited by doubletake; Jul 23, 03 at 06:13 PM. |

^ Not really. They could regulate which ports we have access too and block all traffic so no breaches would occur. It's pretty obvious it would intrude on us performing our job. We can't be talking with friends and then not payying enough attention to the customer. However, with regards to posting its bullshit. We should be able to post on the message forum with the threat to security. In fact we have technical forums for that purpose. We gather knowledge around the call centres. It just another reason to find to make a ding on your permanent record. Things are touchy at work lately, so I'm gonna keep it squeaky clean in the meantime. Ah well, worse comes to worst they lay me off and I go to Europe! boo-kahasha!
