Offisher

I should have expected something would happen. Either I would lose my keys, wallet, or fall through a manhole. What was the crazy event that happened this time? Be patient I'll get to that. It was chaos at it's finest. I'm guessing somewhere around 20ppl showed up for the gong show at the bourbon. The night started around 9pm and it just esculated into a good ol' time from there. Within 20mins I'm working on my third beer so it doesn't look my absense of beer lately has affected my tolerance level. The majority of the crew took off to the fireworks and rest stayed and had a few. We must have chose the right night because shortly after about 11pm Smirnoff Ice came into the place and started handing out free drinks. Of course I'm sure it didn't hurt that we were screaming for them to give it to us, as well as others flipping up their shirt for extra incentive. Anyways, the place was packed as expected and when the guys n gals came back from the fireworks the place erupted. It was a great night. Sadly, I had plans the next day so I had to leave early. I was going to drive, but I expected to be drinking a fair amount as well and I wanted to avoid the traffic for the fireworks. How am I rewarded for this? By a ticket. I did the responsible thing, and guess what I receive. A "j-walking" ticket. Is that priceless or what?! They must have been enforcing it because of the fireworks and the large crowds of people. I'm sure it didn't help my cause telling the cop as he is writing my ticket, next time I'll make sure to drive drunk to avoid this sorta thing. I was pissed, on both accounts. Anyways, he must of had a few himself because we wrote my address down wrong. Hahaha. Eat that sausage boy! I'm sure as shit ain't gonna pay this ticket. I would rather them have to summons me and bring it to my house. Oh, but they can't because it's the wrong adddress. Fuckers. I'm going to keep this in my wallet from now on. I don't know anyone that has received a ticket for j-walking before, maybe I'll get a frame for it. Regardless, it was a good night and these kind of shenanigans happen to me quite often, so it's another one to add to the list.

Give'r!

DAYAM! I can't believe I missed this gong show! Free Smirnoff and heaps of people.

And I have NEVER heard of anyone getting a jaywalking ticket. I knew that they could, but I've never (until now) heard of that. Thousands of people jaywalk in Vancouver everday, and you get a ticket. Especially on a day like last night, where the firework goers are WALKING on the road to get back to wherever they need to go. At least your address was written down wrong.

Dude that is too fucking funny.... especially considering you had the balls to lip him off while he gave it to you! You should have just acted REALLY drunk and told him you had to j-walk so you could get to your car... it's a long drive home.

^ If only he didn't catch me off guard this would have been the perfect opportunity to do the ol' Jeremy Falcon deal. Now that would have been priceless. I'm not going to pay it, I don't think anyone actually would. I'm gonna make them work to get my money. Come and get it sucka!

This probably serves me right. I lost my license like a year ago now and haven't bothered picking up another one. I still can't bring myself to pay it. Its J-walking!?! Why couldn't I have got a ticket for something respectable like indecent exposure?

Yeah, he wrote my license down wrong, but its a quick check on their computer. They have my birthday correct so I'm sure I have no case.

I should fight it, I doubt anyone would waste the amount of time to show up for the trial...even the judge.
