Looking like I'm 12
I F'IN HATE IT!!!! ARGH!!!
The other day, my family, bf, and I went on a trip to Whidbey Island. My mom saw someone she knew there and the lady asked if I was her daughter. My mom said yes, and introduced her to Kam (my bf) and I, and the lady replied "isn't she a little young to be dating?!" And then my mom told her how old I was and she could hardly believe it! GEEZUS! My little sister who is FOUR years younger than me gets mistaken as my OLDER sister. I feel like I should use my credit cards everywhere so that they'll at least know I'm of age and show me a little bit more respect, rather than be treated like some punk kid. Sometimes when I'm at a club/bar, I feel like people are staring at me and wondering how I managed to get past the bouncers w/my 'fake ID'. And everyone says, "well, aren't you lucky then...you'll be so happy when you're older and still looking young". F You! Haha...frustration. Sorry, just had to get that off of my chest. *Jen* |

Welcome to my world!@#$
....when I first started dating my boyfriend who at the time was 26 (I was 19) everyone, including his parents thought I was like, seriously 16. The first time I met his mom, she had asked me 'you're 19, right?'..two years later, a lot of his friends are still baffled at my age because I can't even pass for 21... I think when we're older, it's going to be a blessing. ;) (cougar in training, watch out! :P) |

how old are you starberry. I feel you pain.... i look super young too.....people always give me a funny look when i get my id checked. They think i'm trying to fool them with my fake id, but they can't find any flaws on my id because it's a real one jackass!! hahah.....but yah.....hopefully looking young will have it's advantages when we get older :c-tard:

nowdays most people think I'm in my early twenties.. :soak:
At aritzia some lady in her late twenties asked me where a good place to "hang out" downtown would be... because she didn't like all those clubs where all the "teenagers hung out" Hello lady, I'm only 18. |

nah :tounge1: I don't wish I looked younger actually, I think that people look better when they age... especially white boys in their thirties :kimmie: .... heh... the only thing that sucks is when perception is not reality... and reality disappoints the "perceiver"..
When I first met one of my girl friends, she wanted to go out clubbin and I found out that she was actually 25, i figured she wouldn't wanna chill out with some one that much younger than her, but turns out she's a real cool chick and since then we still hang out I remember when I was 15 and was raving it up, some guy hitting on me asked me how old I was, I told him I was 15 and he told me I was "too young". That was a double-diss because it wasn't like i was remotely interested in him anyway. that kind of misunderstanding makes ME feel awkward. As though i'd deceived some one in some sick way, when I'm just being myself, y'know? |

^haha...i think i remember the early rave incident..=P~
jen..as long as 13 year olds don't hit on u..i think ur fine.. :soak: i dunno..some days ppl think i'm 20 or so..other days i'm 13-14..??..being thought of as younger then my age is something normal..but being thought of as older...i don't know..i don't really like either... |

Yoko I would've never guessed you were 18, you seem quite a bit older.. mainly because of the way you carry yourself, you come off as very mature.
You know, it may seem like an inconvenience now (please don't kick me for saying this) but it's so true, that when you're older you're going to be so grateful because you won't have to bother with anti-aging products. On the other hand, I'm not going to be so lucky, I always get mistaken for older, and I can already see fine lines developing around my eyes, probably from all the late nights |

^^ ha ha - i was just talking about my fine lines the other day ...I thougt my mom was going to pop through the phone and kill me ...tee-hee
When I was a teen i was always the one that bought the booze and the smokes - put me in a tube top and I could buy anything (boobs are to girls what beards are to boys at that age) Now that I aged I have been mistaken for 18 on more then one occasion (which i think is ridiculous) So i wouldn't worry miss shades, you may look a bit older now , but that doesn't mean you are doomed to look older forever - Im my own eyes i have always looked my age - it's the other people that are freaks :) |
