We have no fucking home phone, and you say that you can't send anyone out until Nov.17...thats almost a MONTH! so what do you expect us to do in the meantime??

if you only have a simple landline with nothing much, then you're fucked.

We have our home line (with voice mail, caller id, call waiting, 3-way calling, a *69 fee, long distance, etc), and we have our internet thought them too. I get SHIT ON when I call for help withour internet! They "can't help" me, "misdirect" me ("please hold" for the 40th time), "accidentally" drop my calls, etc. In the dozen or so times I've called them, I've been on hold for at LEAST a half hour, plus the wait time for being "misdirected", and only actually spoke to 2 people who halped me.

TELUS R 2 B TEH SUX0RS! They can lick the balls I don't have.

^^ i never said their "good" customer service was actually good, but it could be alot worse. (and is for some people)

the customer service we get isn't that great, but it seems to be alot better then what people with a basic landline get. we have phone line, second line for a fax, call waiting, caller id, three way, long distance, internet and two cell phones..

i've found though, that if you need help with your internet, and you don't know a thing about computers, they'll just screw around with you. if you actually know what you're talking about, they'll be of much more help.

sucks, but that's the way it is (for now)

their customer service now sucks, because a while back they ended up laying off close to 6500 people.
now their working with hardly any staff...and they still expect to be able to run the company the same.

apparently their service levels are going to be returning by late november or early december.

it was all over the news a couple weeks ago.

I've been waiting 3 weeks to get my wired phone DISCONNECTED. I would think they could do that instantly by computer.

Gonna see if I can get by with just a cell phone (also Telus).

^ It only took a few hours to disconnect my landline in my old apartment, that's weird.

Telus blows, I've always had to wait atleast half an hour to talk to somebody, and that's after the maze of press 2 press 5 press 6 etc etc that you have to get through first.

But they can't "go out of business" they have the monopoly. I don't think you can get a home landline from anyone else?

hrmm, my ADSL internet from telus died on saturday.. I called em up on sunday morning. they were really helpful. A guy came this morning and brought me a new modem(old one died, among other things), nice speedy service. Maybe their problems have been turned around... or at least their internet techs are better :P
