hahaha i'm listening to a cd we bought on the street last year. its by MC Jeorgie Porgie and it's funny. "this be fo all tha ill tdot junglists in tha 905 arrreeeeaaaa....bumbaclaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa aaaaaat" and then he "freestyles" over underground hip hop tracks. it's so entertaining and bad. i feel embarressed for him at some points.
"i smoke maaaad trees, rollin that shit with 3 zig zaggeeeeez" and then there's an "interlude" where he's like "i want you to shout out bumbaclat...loudah! loudah!!! BUMMMMMBBAAACLAAAAATTTTTTTTT" and that's when we laugh. -s. |

i've bought some really good cds by guys doing street promotion for thier independant shit.
usually it's 10 bucks to support someone, who's dedicated enough to be standing outside all day making a fool out of themself all day on robson. got more nuts, drive and determination than most of us. |

yea i've seen those guys before, some of them have skill on the mic, but no skill in the head. thier lyrics are about nothing, like driving phat-ass cars (that they can't afford, which is why they're selling thier demo cd to you in the first place), or bangin bitches they'll never get, etc. etc. it's very sad to see an art form like hip hop disgraced by wannabes outside clubs. like B-real said, "I rapped on an RnB record, and i never will / i got these phony motherfuckers talkin' bout "keep it real" but / they don't know how to take they own advisement / bitchass *****z sellin out to all the advertisement"
