When work makes you feel worthless

So, I had to open at work today, which means that I get off work at 4:30. When I get here, I checked the schedule to see who I would be working with today. Both people should have been here at 11. Neither of them were. I asked my boss (whose daughter was actually one of the people that was supposed to be here and close) about what was happening, and he said "Oh yeah, you have to close."

Now don't get me wrong. I don't mind working overtime if I'm told what's happening before hand so that I a) Don't make plans or b) can adjust my plans. What really gets me is that no one saw fit to tell me this on Tuesday or call me yesterday and let me know.

So now I'm stuck at work until late when I had already made plans with Adrienne (sorry babe. :( ), and there's no one that I can complain to who can do anything about it. :finger:

I dunno, I've worked overtime all week, and on little notice too..and it doesn't make me feel worthless because I am compensated accordingly. That's all that matters, money.
