this just happened to my house... and they said it would take at least 10 days before they could come look at it... however both my parents are in treatment for cancer and we need a phoneline.. so my mom called them and told them this and low and behold someone was able to come out within two days... its all a fucking sham. if they cared.. theyd come out sooner. and they didnt even fix them all.. only on two floors. its fucked up.
telus sucks. |

the more services you have from telus and the more you pay monthly will determine the level of customer service you get from them. seriously.
we seem to get okay customer service from them. our landline hasn't crapped out, but we've had a few random net problems and they've been solved pretty fast. i also find if you call them and actually know what you're talking about they'll be able to help you alot better [when it comes to net service] our customer service from them is okay, but we also have our landline, second line [smart ring] for the fax, long distance, callerid/waiting/voicemail, enhanced internet and two cells from them. reception wise, i thik it has alot to do with your phone. my parents each have a telus cell and while they aren't small flip phones, they aren't bad phones either and they work great. the cdma network is the sameone bell uses as well and i have wonderful reception.. |

During the massive floods the phone lines (including the internet/e-mail line) to my moms office were down. Was a huge hassle, especially since they were out of the country for that time. Poor employees had to deal with the nightmare. I myself drove down there and called Telus from my cell, they said it would take atleast 2 and a half week for them to come out and fix it.
Funny/Weird thing is, the phone lines for the 2 other business that were in the same building (right underneath my mom's office) were perfectly fine. From what I've heard of Telus, they're pretty shady. Makes me think twice about choosing them for certain services. |

my internet was going down every second day for 2 months straight...I had ADSL but my connection was slower then dial up and all Telus had to say to me was, all well, try again later...everyone else I knew on Telus would get a credit everytime their internet went down but of course when I ask for it they just laughed at me...So as soon as I tell them I'm going to Shaw all the freebies start rolling my way but of course I just laughed at them and said no way fuckers...Shaw has not gone down in the 3 months I've had it. And worst yet when I sent back Telus's modem they still charged me for it. So I questioned them and they said they didn't recieve it yet but of course my interest keeps adding up on my bill because I will not pay for something I do not have. I HATE TELUS!!!!!!

The only thing that will make me treat you any different is if you personally attack me, which happens quite often. Its not an easy job and it isn't the reps fault that we can't get out there as soon as you would like. Everyone should read the TELUS terms of service at the front of their phone book... this is what you agree to when you request a phone. Its not a right to have a phone, its a privledge... it's unfortunate that are service is not top notch right now, but it is slowly improving... if you don't like it, go somewhere else. Telus is not the cheapest and will never be... i'm not sure if you guys realize this but it costs telus over 30 bucks a month to bring you dialtone and we are most likely chargin you around 22-25 (depending on where you live). The CRTC is forcing telus to raise their prices to allow for more competition in the market. As well, many other telcom's don't own their own facilities, but rent it from Telus allowing them to offer cheaper rates because Telus has to pick up the repair charges on those facilities. honestly i don't think i work for the best company ever and i'm not defending the fact that it can take up to 5 weeks right now to install a business line in downtown vancouver... but I think a lot of ppl are mislead by the media frenzy... /end rant. |

That is rediculous, I would love to send that comment into telus and see what they have to say. I'm sure your manager would love to hear that. If someone ever said that to me when I was complaining I would blow up on them. It should be the other way around, if you can't keep your customers happy get out of the buisness. The only reason Telus can keep customers and do what they are doing is because there aren't enough options for customers.

They deserve to be treated with respect, and if you yell and are a total asshole, they really have no reason to help you or go out of their way to make something better for you. It's not their fault you have a problem, and if you are nice and polite about it, they'll treat you alot better. |

I would never yell while complaining, I like to think I can hanldle these things in a professional manner. If I heard some bullshit answer like the one stated above, that would be a different story. I would go straight to the manager and yell, I totally realise it isn't the person on the other end of the phones fault. With that said someone has to be held accountable, and that should be the manager or someone who is making "the big bucks" No buisness in their right mind would tell a customer that if they don't like it go somewhere else.
