New years
This was the worst new years ever!! Ok so the plan was that me and my boyfriend were going to plaza to party. Then only hours before the party started we get a call saying that since they oversold tickets they are cutting people off the guestlist and my boyfriend was cut. I was still on the guestlist but we didn't have the million dollars it would cost to pay at the door for him. I have never been so pissed off! :finger: They could have at least given us a days notice instead of calling at like 7pm the day of! Neither me or my boyfriend have any money right now so there was not really anything we could do about it. It totally ruined my night. I was looking forward to this party so much and we ended up just being stuck at his place with nothing to do. :(

no worries. new years is overrated anyways. i had a pretty bad one myself, but whatever...i have more than enough fun all the other nights that i go out, and would be more than happy if those were my new years eves. *shrugs* don't worry about it too much.

hey at least you were with your man at midnight, and you werent cleaning puke off of walls and floors or trying to hold someone who was about 100 pounds heavier then you over the toilette.
im sure new years was still good if you got to spend it with someone specail. a party is just another party. |

i havent really been partying for long enough to know how it has been working... but imo cutting someone from the guest list sounds pretty bad.... like you cant tell someone that they're getting in for free and they dont need to buy a ticket and then suddenly tell them wait thats not happening?.... like if i was on a guest list that i knew that could happen with i would buy a ticket anyways just to be sure and then sell it at the door or something when i knew i could for sure get in
i think thats pretty bad |

Don't blame the promoter for taking something away that was given to you for free in the first place. Guestlist is a priviledge and NOT something that one should take for granted. If I were a promoter and I had a choice of letting someone in that paid for a ticket and someone who was on my guestlist then that is a no brainer. Paying customer always comes first. As for overselling the party I doubt that happened. They sold out the party and had a massive guestlist and then had to cut people due to capacity issues. |

Hey Natasha.. Kraig here.
I couldn't help but see your post. A couple of things... with questions like this, rather than post out to the masses who really can't confirm or answer anything you've stated, my suggestion would be to post to me in the Hey You area or send me a PM. Now a question for you? -- Who confirmed your boyfriend on the guest list? A couple of things: 1.) We did not over sell the party. 2.) Who called you and told you that your boyfriend was cut? -- The person that told him he was on? Again, I am curious to know who that is. |

IMIX III.. I remember running into Mark and asking how things were going.
"Not so good man... we've got a shitload of people standing outside" It was like 3, 4AM at the time.. I thought to myself "So?.. that's there fault for relying on door sales.." What I didn't realize is that he meant he had a shitload of TICKET HOLDERS still standing outside. Ouch. |
