egos and icons
no not the tv show.
seems like alot of people on this board are all about booting their egos. from posts like "the hottest fnker" to "who's the best local" i know i'm just re-stating some things that have already been posted in those threads, but who gives a shit. i mean you have djs all over this board who act like they are the best djs in the world. or know all there is to know about their specific genre. sure i'd love all the attention and "fame" that comes along with dj'ing, but you have to remember not to let it get to your head. one thing that really pisses me off about this city is that nothing is based on skill or hard work anymore (for the most part) its who your connected with and who's dick you've sucked long enough. 1 outa every 20 posts is either praising a dj / promoter for the last show they played at / party they threw. for instance i see that kraig is getting all the recognition for twisted parties, yeah he may have a lot to do with throwing them and what not, but aren't there tons of other people involved? ie. azim, tazix, so on and so forth. i think alot of the djs in this city are totally underated and unappreciated. for instance dj's like soma, mateo, ninewells, ryan ross, omega image, hirshee, etc etc. all dont get the recognition they deserve. maybe this is just my point of view, i've seen these guys "bust their asses" to try and get places. honestly if i were a dj i would not want to have a career here. it would be so limiting. the only djs i see getting anywhere are people like tazix, christian alvarez, and dave armstrong. why is that? yeah they all are great at what they do but i think alot of other people deserve chances as well. sorry for babbling just wanted to get this off my chest, and to everyone out there tryin to get somewhere or do something, keep on trucking! if you've read this far, kudos :keebler: |

I am glad that thats what FnK does but no ones complaining about your team. You guys as a team kick a$$, its the whole individual people who put others down because there afraid of the truth. It took me 9 1/2 months just to get any where when i was in Philly, but, ever since i backed Irene at Focus, I got alot more phone calls, and i declined gigs from those who wouldnt give me a shot before that night. I love how you guys have this here for us. And u guys are awsome. All i really want to say is Keep it up.

I see hope as a vision... a mission for one self to fulfill cuz if you believe in it, it can be accomplished. No one is stopping you to change... just you I'd rather try to be impartial than bias any day |

i think impartiality exists, it may not always be the case when people say so.
for instance what if you had never tried apples before and were color blind. i showed you a green one and a red one, they both were the exact same shape etc. how would you have any bias? you wouldnt know the green one is sour and the red one is sweet. pretty lame example but it works |
