Its real cool when I look at the front page to find something interesting and instead am presented with who Sarah Jessica Parker is fucking on Sex and the City or how many morons lined up in delta to eat donuts (for a paper which often ran articles about fat North Americans they sure know how to plug donuts)

that is all.

all media is biased and, to an extent, pointless.

if anyone wants GOOD , REAL news,watch BBC world news.

"journalism" in north america is a joke. at least tabloid journalism doens;t pretend to be real news, the way that everyone else does.

and i say this as a broadcast news student ... a bitter, disillusioned broadcast news student :c-tard:

This is what the internet is for people.

With the web you can compare same story in the Globe & Mail, Guardian, BBC, and NY times within a few minutes. Excellent way to filter bias and see what's being left out.

Most print newspapers available in vancouver are total rags.

We have a winner! Also there's lots of great magazines out there that offer well written articles. Harpers, Utne Reader, Ecconomist, Atlantic Monthly and many others. One of my favorite news papers is the Christian Science Monitor.
