Roommates
ARGH!!!! :snyx: :snyx: :snyx:
Ok so I think I've got a horrible roommate sitch happening that is spiraling out of control!!! First of all, I am the type who likes the kitchen, living room, bathroom, anywhere guests would be, to be clean. Not much to ask! So if I have dishes in the sink, I would do them and if my roommate left some in there, I'd do his while I was at it. Then I started to notice, he wouldn't even put his dishes I did for him away once dried in the rack! Then it became he'd leave his pots, pans and even if I didn't touch his dishes, he'd leave them there till I would do them! Was there ever a thanks Jess? NO! :219: Not to mention him and his MORON of a g/f get hungry after their sex sessions that, *LOL* last not long...(can tell these things as Orion so kindly pointed out, with the music noise masking technique)...anyways, ya, after such activity, they go into the kitchen to make something to eat. They use my dishes/utensils (even though he has his own). But do they even wash the dishes, especially the ones that they used of mine? NOPE! :378: So today I had it, came home, he left his dishes there piled up ALL weekend. I washed my 2 bowls and 1 cup and put them away. He came home and FINALLY did his own fucking dishes! Next thing, I have quite a kiddie movie collection :Kimmie: as I am going into teaching... *We live in a basement suite, and there are 3 girls that live upstairs that attend Langara as well* ...and all the movies are in the entertainment unit in the living room, because I thought I could trust my roommate with those. So I come home, they are all messed up, and tons are missing!?! I'm doing the dishes today, and there's a knock on the door, one of the girls is returning some of my movies! I was like, WTF!? :219: But didn't yell at her, because she obviously asked my roommate when I was out! So I waited and when he got home asked if he gave her permission to borrow MY belongings!? :378: He thought there was no problem with it, and followed up by saying, "I meant to tell you she borrowed movies yesterday, but forgot!" Excuse me? Meant to TELL me she borrowed MY movies? I don't even know these damn girls either!?! NOT COOL! :snyx: Now to groceries, I buy my own groceries and vise versa. We had a talk the other night because he wanted us to split the cost...but I don't eat like a guy, and am not splitting the cost of an expense that won't be portioned correct. However, the ass still eats my food etc.!!!! :378: I'm getting so frustrated, because even my cd's & records are being touched by his friends and MORON g/f! I have the smaller room and can't fit EVERYTHING in my damn room locked up! I kept my cd's, records & movies out in the living room as more of a test! I am finally getting my own tables when I get my loan in the next couple of months. (Those who know me, know I've been waiting about 7 months to get them) :Kimmie: I can't fit them in my room, and I told him that they would be in the living room, and that if people touch that stuff I'm out ASAP! But if I can't trust him with simple stuff...I can't trust him with probably over $4,000 invested in electronics and equipment! This frustrates the shit out me! And the guy doesn't get it! This is driving me nuts! He also touches shit I have sitting around for the website! He almost messed up a interview I JUST did with grooverobber on tape, (meaning recorded over it). Luckily I'm meeting with him to fix some stuff up anyways! But he did that, and fiddles with other shit! :219: ARGH! Jess is going to kill soon! :(

and to think i wanted a roommate... meh...
personally i think i would make a good roomy. i mean, i'm a really clean person when i have time to be, and i'm pretty mature when it comes to responsibility. plus i'm really quiet, and know when to stay out of the way... but i'm also very maticulous about a lot of things... i have a lot of stuff that i like to be done perfect in my own little way. i don't obsess about it, but i get pretty edgy when someone puts a crease in my methods... i'd be pretty pissed off if someone messed around with my stuff... like, one of my best friends is gonna be crashing at my place tomorrow nite, and i've let him stay at my place before when i went off to work... and i don't even trust him with my stuff, even though i know he doesn't fuck around with anything, i'm still worried he mite snoop around my journals or something... so i doubt i could handle a roommate... i dunno... i'm usually more lenient with girls, hehe... sux to be you jess. get ur own place yo!

i say find a few friends willing to move in with you look for a place far away from this guy....and one day out of the blue pack all ya stuff and move out without him knowing
i say a whole bunch of us look for a small house or appartment and have like an F&K appartment/house i know a couple of peeps willing to move out *ahem* me im sick and tired of this shit living at home brutal

I'm there right now but I think its worse. - I'm messy but my roommate is messier than I, but he seems to think that he isnt messy at all so when he comes home to see his mess he gets pissed off like I dont clean up! I even tested it by cleaning everything and waiting. Every dish in the house used, I had two cups and I was still using one. He blew up! - Roomate doesnt pay the bills, rent or utilities.. On megamega watch for the grand boot. - We were to share food, so I bought $250 of groceries. Meat, coffee, everthing. Helped me eat it all and now is grumpy because theres no food - because I wouldnt buy any more. Been two months now and has bought about 3 dozen eggs, and 6 litres of milk and three loaves of bread. (When he came to live I bought 10 loaves of bread. Just an idea). Plus he ate my food four times faster than me! Like 3/4 of a loaf of bread a day for just him. ARRRRGH Shitty roomates are really easy to find. Why can't I find anyone to live with who is simply: -Pleasant, Respectful -Understands that 50-50 means 50-50 -Easygoing -Pays the god-damn bills on time arrrgh anyways. i totally sympathize wit ya.

Sir_K-I totally see what you mean! I know the feeling! I highly doubt I will be able to stand this for much longer! He totally doesn't understand 50/50! Not to mention my b/f flew back from vacation today...all I asked was to keep off the phone, cuz we don't have call waiting or voicemail...that way I could get the call when he arrived....but what does my roommate do? TIE UP THE GOD DAMN LINE! Seriously, I am going to start looking in the next month if things don't straighten up.
Bob-Well my roommate is from Africa...a small, sort of poverty town. He has many brothers & sisters, though his parents passed away when he was young. He has lived in Canada for a little over a year, and in Vancouver for maybe 3 months. He moved to Montreal originally to learn English and French, but moved here because it's too cold! There's a lot he doesn't understand, but I figured common courtesy was one he would understand! I am an only child, however I always had people around. So it's not like I'm used to having everything to myself. I never had everything to myself growing up. But I am sorry, I can't share my groceries and feed him and his MORON g/f!

it's better not to live with close friends cuz you are seeing them everyday and then it just gets way to much...end up fighting all the time and getting on eachother's nerves.. my brother and i have alreaedy talked about moving out when i finish highschool in a year..he's living with his best friend right now and the place is such a fucking mess...they don't even have a vacuum, and it smellls soo bad. he's moving back in to go back to school, but after hes' done, we're going ot move out cuz my parents are freaks. we get along well, so i think it would work out..but one bad thing is that he leaves messes everywhere, and i like things kept clean (i am a clean freak)..i don't want to live in a fucken dump

but i'm gonna sneak over to my mom's place every now and then and BORROW hers... hehe... and my buddy is bringing over his parent's steam cleaner next weekend, cuz he stained my carpet with whiskey and coke.... hehehe... MY PINK CARPET YO!!!!! i took this pic of my place the other day cuz crunch was nagging me to... hehe...

Mine's quite ghetto compared to yours bob! Though I wasn't even looking for super funky, just a roof over my head...next time though I'm going for the gold!
Even today, I'm gonna kill him! Him & the girls upstairs have used up all my big bottle of downy! I can make my laundry last almost 2 weeks *cuz I have too much clothes* and I go to do laundry yesterday...surprise surprise...all the detergent's gone!!!! :snyx:

But, he works, has a girlfriend, so it's not like he doesn't speak or read english!! I think he is one of those people who gets stuck in their way of things. I tried to explain to him something regarding lending out MY belongings, he got angry and walked away!?!? You tell me!?! I know he is hearing, and what I'm saying is sinking in his head, but he is stubborn about it all.
I came from a different environment too! He's not a dumbass, he can/should figure things out....and no matter where you come from common courtesy is part of what is taught to you regarding manners!!
