ok so my internet explorer is about to die :finger: :finger: :finger: :finger:

it jsut started acting up tha other day. i open it and it will start to load homepage, gets to "done" at bottom but freezes, everytime. i can browse tha net by opening up "my computer" then typing a webbie into tha address bar, but if i try to go on tha net my usual way it freezes tha window. if i click on a link it freezes tha explorer window too. on other profiles on this computer it works fine, just mine doesnt work. i "repaired" IE and didnt work, i uninstalled and reinstalled an that didnt work. this has happened before and i cant remember how i fixed it.
may just have to make a new profile

anyone got any ideas?

no, havent in years
my comps so slow running one of those makes it useless

i really dont think thats tha problem tho cuz tha IE works fine on other profiles
makes me think its something to do with tha customizable options for each profile, OR somethin happened when my profile was in use that altered somethin and is now causing an error

i read ur problem but didn't really read it, and i came to the conclusion. u need a new computer... u can buy one thats like 10x as fast for 500 or less

It's annoying because my gf has Opera on her comp. Every time I wanna open a new window now I'm all Cntrl-T... Then I realize... oh yeah... Opera.... And I'm all cntrl-N.

I dun like Opera though. The mail client is bitchily annoying and The tabbed browsing seems so... mandatory....

Also, I'm personally an advocate of Open Source stuffs, so Moz just takes the cake.

But yeah. built-in popup suppression and tabbed browsing are teh rox0r. Not to mention fewer crashes.

after these initial posts the internet spiraled downward
next time i went on a diff profile the IE didnt work
yesterday internet completely died
ended up being a registry problem, corrupt files n all
just fixed it thanks to tha helpful shaw tech support
