thanks for the sympathy.. it doesn't take long to connect and I don't hear the DOOTDOOTDOOTDOOTDOOTDOOT ZAP ZAP ZAPP REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEENREEEEEEEEEEEEN noises while I connect, *as I used to when I had dial-up ages ago* but I notice that it's much slower than my dsl at home

this is my spoiled-brat-gripe of the day :(

I didn't know dialup existed either.. but then again they still have slipper toilets here. you know... like girls urinals that are embedded in the ground and are hard to pee in. I can't aim :( /me wishes I had a dink right about now.
