Plaza parking ticket.
did anyone actually know that the underground lot closed at 6 am?
like it's only $40, but what pisses me off is that those pricks are gonna collect a lot of money off of 100+ cars that got ticketed underground the night of grand finale. it should atleast say on the ticket that its only valid until 6 am. i tried disputing it, but they only decreased the amount of the ticket. if they have the authority to decrease the amount, shouldn't they have the authority to cancel it all together? errr.. whatever

haha there was a thread like this after the last plaza party too.
1) the signs say that parking expires at 6am 2) yes, impark are bastards that are making a whooole shitload of cash off of all these raver kids staying out till the sun comes up.

yea after the rave we went to my friends car who parked across the street at bc place. He got a ticket saying he failed to show the ticket but the thing was the ticket was sitting rite there at the window cleary showing everything. my friend even had a thing on hsi window just for showing parking tickets. stupid fucks at impark trying to scam money

haha.. this was sooooooooooooooooooooo shitty at the first plaza party 5 years ago!
i knw how u all feel!! but we couldn't get into the underground lot until 12pm!!! we freakin sketched at mcdix and bk and all over the place! it suckeD!

carefully read ure tickets.. i parked underground..UNDER THE CAVE..and i even asked the parking ticket guy before i bought the ticket... he said its til 12pm. (next day at noon time). unfortunately ppl go later (when the ticket dude leaves) and buys their tickets from the MACHINE..that goes til 6am. SUCKAS. so next time go early..so the ticket dude is in front and he can sell u a parkin tix for 6 dollars..and goes til 12 the next day. =)
6 dollars til the next day noon time or 10 dollars til 6am...and ure garenteed a parking ticket if u dont move ure car. ouch.

if you get there too late for dude in the booth, you can usually find a spot downtown if it's around midnight to one-ish. some of the people heading downtown for the clubs would have left by then, leaving a free space on the road vacant. seymour is usually the best bet, with richards coming up second. it's a bit of a walk, but it's a fun little journey to work up some anticipation.
well, at least this is the way it was when i was in van. with the later club hours, things might be different. in that case, park along skytrain somewhere in east van. there's usually lots of parking around the one before joyce (26th?). again, it's a journey, but you'll probably meet up with other ravers making it much more fun.

I agree with Inkster here.
I prefer to park in a "safer" area and walk 5-10 minutes than park underground or on the street near the Georgia viaduct where people know you are gone to the party and won't be back for hours. I parked under the Georgia viaduct for Freedom and had my window smashed and all my stuff jacked. Then a police car rolls by when I am looking at my car... lol! Try getting help from an officer when you are all partied out.

you dont have to pay impark parking tickets. if the sum is high enough they might send you to collections but its doubtful. The only way they will tow you though is if you park in the exact same lot you got a ticket in before with the same car - otherwise you are fine to park in the other impark lots.
as for me...i have a parking pass :P

read the ticket.. even the booth dude told me if i get a ticket call them. cuz the ticket says 12pm NOON the next day.
NEVER park in the hobo parking lot.

It's so stupid. At twisted we asked the security if someone could come down with us so we could put some more money in the machine and they refused. So my friend had to leave early and put money in the machine just so we wouldn't get a ticket.

i just cant stand the fuckin pigs that show up almost exactly at 6am and write a ticket for every goddamn car in the lot... tons of ppl got towed at twisted, i remember watching some car getting towed and feeling sorry for whoever's it was, and then later i found out it was my friend's car! booourns...

Yeah - I can't believe they actually enforce the rules they put on the signs on nights like Twisted or Hockey games when they will make money I can't believe their are businesses out there that are so underhanded as to actually write out the rules in plain view and then enforce them What kind of times are we living in? ps- You think it's the "pigs" enforcing the Impark lots?

At Twisted me and my friends parked in the underground lot and we had a parking ticket as well. We looked at teh parkign pass and it said it was valid until 12pm the following day, so why the hell did they give us a ticket?! Our pass was still valid! I think that sometimes they don't really pay attention and just give out tickets to whoever.

there must have been different parking passes issued in the underground lot. i arrived in the lot around 1030 pm, and my pass does not mention it's valid until 12 pm, or any other time.
