hey maybe you can help
i basically had 2 partitions on my 40gig hd.. c drive 5.7 gigs NTFS h drive 5.7 gigs FAT32 i restored my h drive, but my c drive still isnt working properly... heres info on my drives... the ntfs drive... systemid: 7 (in hex) start C/H/S: 0 1 1 end C/H/S: 731 254 63 size: 11759617 the fat32 drive... systemid: b (in hex) start C/H/S: 4110 1 1 end C/H/S: 4841 254 63 size: 11759517 i put this into the partition table manually, and i got the h: drive to be recognized, but the c drive is still an unrecognized partition... any tips? |

i've used gpart on a *nix os which recreates a partition table for a drive based on the drive information.
for windows, you can boot into the recovery console with an xp cd, and then run the mbr fixer. i believe the commend is 'fix mbr' or something like that. theres a help comamnd that lists the available commands. |
