fucking pink eye...
so my eye staretd burning yesterday... and then i wake up w/ crusty eyes.. i could barely open them.. i go wash my face.. and i see that i have pink eyes.... and then i went and showed my mom and she was like "ewwwww... lemme treat them"

stupid pink eye

a lot of people mistake pink eye for just plain old allergies.

try to take clariton or reactine and see if that clears it up...might just be allergies.

and don't think you don't have allergies, i didn't think i did, until last year when my eyes were so itchy and pink and gross until i took some allergy medicine and then it went away.

OK SERIOUSLY PEOPLE

It is NOT pink eye

You either have allergies, or an eye INFECTION. Go to the DOCTOR - they will test you for a viral infection or a bacterial infection and give you specially medicated eye drops to stop the burning feeling.

my mom was a volunteer nurse for a couple of years... i trust her opinion... cuz usually wen she tells me sumthin is wrong.. and i goto the doctor to double check.. he always tells me my mom was right.............................

I wouldn't trust your mom on this one unless she has a medical lab in your garage!

"Pink-eye" is just an over-used general term for any type of problem with one's eye that makes it all bloodshot! There are a couple of different things that could be wrong with your eyes, and the only way to find out EXACTLY what it is is to go to the doctor and get swabs taken, so that they can test for whether or not it's bacterial or viral. If it's viral, there's not much you can do except to use soothing drops to get rid of the pain temporarily. If it's bacterial, you can go on antibiotics and get antibiotic drops. (My boyfriend recently had a REALLY bad eye infection which caused him to move back home from working in the Caribbean, so I know what I'm talking about).

yeah there seems to be alot of this going round.

I got it....its been about 3 weeks now and its gotten beter but i still can;t wear my contacts yet. I'm gonna go to the doctor again to get it checked out.

Conjuctivitis pick eye what have you just plain sucks!!!!

I was just pointing out how I hate that everyone thinks that "pink eye" is ONE thing...whereas on that site it totally defines it as being due to either a virus, bacteria, allergies, or chemicals. They all LOOK the same, but they all need to be treated differently (that was my point).
