What the hell am I supposed to say to that?

I was getting my hair cut today by a woMAN who is also a belly dancer. She had a picture up on her mirror of her in the outfit at some show.

I started a converstion with her about it and she brought it to a screeching halt with the phrase, "I know I shouldn't be prancing around in outfits like that, but, whatever".

Uhhh. I agree/Well it's good that you enjoy it/That's nice. How the fuck do you answer that?

I paused and then just told her the outfit looked nice.

"I'm so fat"
"Is she better looking than me?"
"Am I annoying"

WHY MUST WOMEN SAY THESE THINGS?!?!? Of course some instances fully merit a lie, but I'm too honest to constantly, illegitimately validate people like that.

normally I'd say, just tell her the truth. "yeah you do look awefully fat in that outfit" (i hate people that fish for compliments and tend not to deal with situations like that very well) but in circumstances like this, where you got a woman yielding scissors ever so close to your head, i'd just say LIE THROUGH YOUR TEETH MAN...or fake the seizure

A lot of these suggestions seem like they would result in a bald spot.
