roommates suck pt. 2

yup another thread regarding my LAME ASS roommate! i'm so going to kill him. the story is, that we got our bill from shaw cable for the two internet modems & cable tv. however, the bills just looked very unreasonable. i couldn't quite figure it out, so i sat down and really took a look at them. turned out he had been ripped off. we were getting charged for having TWO tv's with cable when we only had one. not only that, but being charged for having two tv's with the full cable [not basic] all three of the tiers! so i made the effort tonight to call shaw and straighten things out whilst my roommate was out. i fixed things up and got a credit to the account, plus a big appology. so when my roommate came home and i told him about it, he just got angry at me. like i did something wrong...but really i just fixed it so we weren't getting ripped off anymore, and got some money back pretty much. [well a credit to the account] i couldn't believe it! like thanks asshole...i just saved you about $40 that you have been paying that you need not to be!

then when i was on the phone with a friend from back home, he took off. knowing that i needed to speak to him about some things. [some of the things being me getting my cat saturday] now i am getting my new kitty saturday morning, however that NIGHT i have to work at Simple. so i won't be around for the poor thing till morning. which is a long time for a cat in a new and strange environment. so in that case was going to ask him to take care of her for me. not really take care of her, but just check on her, if she's crying, spend some time with her. [like i don't do enough for him anyways around here] however, he didn't come home till i was asleep, then i woke up an hour ago wide awake.

now i won't be able to discuss things with him, as he works weird hours on the weekend, and tomorrow night i have a date & have to go to 7 for the pre-party to Simple. so i guess i will be thinking up a new way to baby my new kitty when i'm away saturday night.

it's just so annoying because i do so much for my roommate. especially being an immigrant to Canada, i sit and explain things, go through things with him, teach him things, and do some errands for him. he's been very good about all the other stuff i've bitched about. but now he's just being a jerk and avoiding me when we need to talk. [argh!]

i know the solution would be just to move out, however, rent is cheap, it's a cozy house, the girls upstairs & i are good buds now and it would take about a month or two to get packed up, find a new place and give notice. so why bother!? might as well try and make things work [or maybe he'll move out HA!]

at any rate, i'm just frustrated and venting.

cut the costs of the 2 cable modem thing

use 1 modem share the bandwidth

I know you can use a hub and then only have one modem. But like I know how to do that.
