Screwdriver in my Ignition = bad times

Ok so it is as though my building in Burnaby has turned into a tiny piece of Surrey...in my underground parking my car has been broken into 5 times in the past month
Now, I do own a Honda Civic hatch back, and i know that is like the most popular car for this kind of thing..so it's really not the break ins that irk me, as, sadly, they are now kind of expected
its when the idiots do un nessesary damage to the car
and this weekend that included a flathead screwdriver into my ignition and ripping the steering wheel collum out

Now, i figure these 'punks' must be kids, because that was the saddest attept at a hot wire i have ever seen, and the screwdriver was WAY TOO BIG for the ignition

all they did was fuck up my car - there was nothing to steal, they weren't succesful in taking the car
so all it is, is damage
and that damage means my car wouldn't start, making me a pedestrian
and it means money out of pocket
it f*cking stupid

thank heavens i have car boy friends who may be able to help me out

Did they bust the window all 5 times?! What's your deductible, $300? Mine's been broken into twice and someone smashed the passenger side view just for fun, makes me so angry. Since I got an alarm nobody's touched it though. (I drive a '91 talon)

be careful jingles, after a certain amount they will not cover you anymore.

honestly, if you have nothing in your car, consider leaving the doors unlocked, and the windows even down a bit. at least they won't break the windows. and after rummaging through the car, most pooks will leave it alone.

I put razor blades in my stereo column, when I got the car back there was blood - so I at least got a shot in before they took the fucking thing.

I'd like to get a video camera and just let it sit there and catch all these son of a bitches that try all this stuff then take their thumbs.

i had someone stick a screwdriver into my drivers side lock trying to break into my crx. They failed at breaking in but fucked with my lock. So i had to climb into my car through the passenger side. Its funny cuz Hondas are so easy to break into. But maybe my alarm went off and scared them away. The thing that pissed me off, obviously, was the fact that it cost like $100 to get new locks and shit. It was on New Years too. Happy fucking new year!

thats why i shaved the handles and lock cylinders off my car. its funny watching people from your window look puzzled on how to break in. pager alarms are the wave of the future i must say.quite smashing. it starts goin nuts - vibrating, making ennoying sounds.. thats when you rush out to your car with abat to seriously stomp some punk ass!
my recommendation - get a compustar alarm, your insurance rates will go down too...

i do leave it unlocked
so at the very least they don't break the windows...apparently in a Honda Civic there is no need for that becaues popping the locks is so easy

this is the first real damage that has been done, mostly i think they just like to make a mess in the vehicle

Haha I just remembered a story my dad told me, one of his friends wired up his car so that when you touch it it shocks the hell out of you. One night he woke up to some idiot screaming in pain hahaha. His wife made him disconnect it though cuz it killed their neighbors cat.

i say spring for an alarm or go to lordco and get one of those flashing lights that look like an alarm light beacuse most of the time if the light is flashing they think it's an alarm and won't try shit..

well i personally didn't know that til recently - but even then, i'm sure i couldn't do it
but if you could teach these kids that trick so they'd stop damaging the car - that'd be super
