Anyone ever get those religious wierdos approach you out of nowhere? Last week at the mall this dude comes up to me and tries to I dunno shake my hand or hug me or whatever.... [pull away and give him the what the fuck look]
him: OH NO....I'd like to invite you to come to my church... Me: [giving him the evil look] no... him: It will be enlightening Me: No thanks.... [walks off] hmm... anyone ever have this happen to you?

Damn...I know EXACTLY what you mean. I've gotten that from peeps that I don't know, but I get it even more from my mom's friends. Talk about bible thumpers!!!:032: My parents are Christian and I used to be too...like, go to church every Sunday, go to youth retreats, etc. etc. I was actually quite religious. But I dunno...over time, my beliefs changed. But I still get sooo many phone calls and "encounters." :024: Just last week, my mom's friend called up my cellie while I was downtown and she preached at me for the longest time and wouldn't let me hang up. I told her that I had to go, but she wouldn't let me. And I didn't wanna hang up on her cuz it'd be rude since she's my mom's close friend. *argh* I get that shiznat from my parents too.

omg erica!!..i use to be like that too.....harsh religious..goin to retreats and conferences...and stuff...i still get emails from peeps hinting to me.."go back go back" sorta thingy but i dunno..same as u..my beliefs have altered a bit..but my aunt and sum close friends still sorta preach to me about stuff..blah..
okok..i have one thing to admit to....i did that once...the thingy where u go up to people...i did it in calgary at sum conference....went up to people to preach..it was like a certain set time at the conference...yeah...i never really talked much..my partner did the jabbering but yeah..i was one of them~:032:

2 guys dressed in suits and a suit case come to our door this one time...and my brother opened the door right when they got there cuz he could see them coming and just said NO!!!! and slammed the door it was unbelievabley funny...mean,,,but funny

YOU TOO??? thats messed up... cuz just last week (and the previous 3months) these weirdos.. just come up to my house a knocking.. they look all weirded out with their trench coats N little day planners... they were like.. them: hi there sir, would you be interested in a new sumtin or rather.. ( i cant remember) me: uhh... (weird look) no... its.. :047: them: are you sure? this is a new way of.. me: no thanks ( bout to slam door) them: please sir, give us a few.. me: NO! *SLAM* and this actually happened .. i also see these two ladies who walk around joyce station at around 3-5pm or around 8-10pm, i always see them asking ppl if they will join their faith and stuff.. i dont blame these ppl... but... its downright weird... and it gets weirder when they dont take no as an answer.. but yea.. word of caution.. think b4 you leap... they can get serious .. and sometimes will use force to get you to.. convert.. -Adam aKa FaLLeN-Boi69 :032: :034:

I remember bieng younger and answering these jehovahs witnesses..and I was being nice and was like...Im busy..come back later...and the scary thing was they actually came back....what persistance man!! imagine being in something like the scientologist cult...*shudder*

I liked them though....... but ya whatever..... all I know is religion and partying dont mix....

religious ppl make me laugh....
ha... one time downtown. i was with my ex and we were there with fishnets, spiked collars, black feather wings, boots, dyed hair, the whole bit. and some religious guy was preaching about god with a lil stand and everything. and he makes some comment about me and my ex being possessed and such. so i grabbed all his pamplets.. threw them in the air. kicked down his sign and walked off yelling and swearing... hahaha.... ;] waiting to get struck by lightning anytime....

Adam** Naw, I started to fade away from religion before I started partying...buuuut, the partying DID make the "final push" for me. You're right. Partying and religion definitely don't mix. I used to love going to those retreats too!! I dunno...at one point in my life, I was HARSH relgious...I made the decision to get baptised, went to church and youth group every week...once in a while went to bible study...read the bible on my own at home...prayed a gazillion times a day...memorised bible verses......buuuuuuut, after a while, I just started to drift and doubt. Now, I just believe that as long as you have your own set of good morals and values that you live by and follow, then that's okay...*shrugs* I guess it's still nice to believe in SOMETHING tho, you know? But I dunno...religion just isn't where it's at for me right now at this point in my life.

Ahaha yeah. I got one once in Van. You get those lots aparently out there. I'm from abbotsford and aparently we have the most churches per capa in the world or soemthing like that I'm not sure though. But yeah anyways I was walking in Van trying to look for my buddy and then there was guy JUST preaching some thing that satan was not a myth hehe!! I dunno I sat there and talked to him for a while to see what he really had to say about his profound religion. It was quite interesting though. Untill he started getting sentimental about things haha. Thats were i took a stupid pamflet and walked away making jokes about him. He came after me and tried to grab me and give me a hug. SEE YA i was like. Geesh the things people do these days.
